The Hunger Games (Books/Movie) [Spoilers possible]
Hey guys, just wondering what everyone thought of the Hunger Games movie, and the trilogy by Suzanne Collins?
I saw the movie the Saturday of opening weekend and loved it! I wasn't expecting much and just automatically became enticed. After that I read the first two books, saw the movie again and am now almost finished with the third.
The books are extremely gripping and suspenseful, but they also allude to so many problems we face as humans. Treachery, torture, the 'American Dream', betrayal, and ultimately just what it is to be human and the flaws we face if we allow our greed take the better of us.
But, again, it was the movie that got me hooked... acting was amazing (Jennifer Lawrence is beautiful and on her way to be a big star imo), and the costume design and special effects were spectacular.
