Waking Life - It missed the point

Am I the only one here who believes that this movie was pretty good all together but seemed too much like a closed book than an open one? It feels as if someone is just telling you all these theories and forcing you to believe that they are true. Instead of sparking the inner philosophical flame on the wood of the soul, this movie seems to dump a few burning logs on the brain that can only burn for so long....

i think the film lines up a lot of good conversations for its viewers to tackle right after watching it.

It's been a while since I've seen it, but I was unimpressed. From what I remember it was just a mishmash of philosophies which seemed to have been shoved in there for the sake of being included, rather than for any relevant purpose. It came across as a bit pretentious.

I loved the movie too. Its alot to take in at points. Interesting concepts tho so cudos to the director. If your into LD's then this is a good movie to watch.
If we spend on average 22 years of our life asleep or dreaming, we arguably live two lives...Our awake life and our dream life.

i enjoyed the movie because of how unique and different it was to other movies. you really have to think and pay attention to all the theories to fully appretiate what the movie has to offer.

I don't feel this film is forcing anything on the viewer. It asks a lot of questions that most people don't ask themselves. Whether it gives any answers is another thing, but I don't think its trying to. It was the reason I got into lucid dreaming, so it accomplished that much for me, if not more.

I thought it was a heap of crap (before I said it was OK, but I lied because there was about 50 people insisting that I enjoy the stupid movie).

From the second I played the copy of it, my immediate thought after the fox logo - "OH NO IT'S A CARTOON". Well, fair enough... Wether or not it's a cartoon shouldn't really effect if it's a good movie or not, should I? So I continue on, albeit it my spirits already dampned by that nasty cartoon surprise.

So I watch. "OH GOD IT'S JUST A LOAD OF PEOPLE TALKING CRAP I'VE HEARD BEFORE"...All together, collective conscusiness, whatever, tell me something I haven't heard before, to the recycle bin with you, you stupid peice of warez.

Although I say that, I can appreciate that some people would of found it a lovely movie. But for me, I've heard all that [crap] before so it simply was not my cup of tea in any way whatsoever. It didn't merit me watching the entire thing.

Its a cool intro way for ppl to get into more 'new age' stuff (for lack of a better term) And being drawn and presented all weird is a good gimmick. But yeah its just a bunch of ideas put to pictures, but Im sure plenty of 'simplefolk' would watch it and be like uh,,,,i dont get it whatever...

But the Adam Jones speech was pretty cool, he's a cool dude i think.
