Square-Enix is dead to me

Final fantasy X was their last good final fantasy. If you think most final fantasy games sucked then who cares. It wasn't for you to begin with. If you waited and hoped they would return to their former glory and NOT think of VII then you know what I'm talking about. Anyways here's what's on my mind.

Final fantasy XIII versus is canned. I though this was going to be the game for me as seeing that the only action RPGs they could make (all FFs since VI were heading that way with ATB) were SOM and KH. Well the same guy who made KH was making a FF spinoff and it was going to be a gory bloody mess set in the FF XIII world. That had me sold. KH was missing that. Hell FF was missing that. Six years later all the other XIII crap has come out and they said they're not going to make it.

Fuck square fuck Enix. I hope Nintendo buys them out and they're forced to make paper Mario games and put FF characters in smash bros.

I would have to agree with you on the whole Square Enix thing...
While I cant speak for the Final Fantasy thing... I am a huge Dragon Quest fan, and I loved the Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker game for the DS... logged WAY too many hours.
And anyways, the new DQM... Sucked. I was extremely disappointed

FFVI was incredible. Just incredible. VII and VIII were also fantastic.

Well, if you streamline the draw system in VIII a bit, it'd be fantastic.

@xei final fantasy was never meant for you

@slayer I'm not ever buying a subscription based game ever again.

@ BNW DQ rocked. The only one I played was VIII, and I have zero complaints about that game other than the fact it seems square has been aiming to put the series on portables only. I also think square did the whole Square-Enix to eliminate the need come out with really top FF games to compete with DQ.

I actually found FFVII to have an awesome atmosphere and it promised to be incredible, right up until you left the city and the entire game suddenly decided it quite liked the idea of being another bunch of awful anime clichés.

Then you have witnessed Square-enix's greatest creation, FVI and FVII were great but nothing is comparable to FVIII. Every single year since i've first played i've wanted to go through it again.

I'm actually playing through it again right now on my PS3, bought it off the market a few years back. I pretty much never buy games on the digital console market, but this was completely worth it. Did the same for FFVII. If all the old SNES RPGs were on there, I'd be broke.

Hey, wooooaaahhh now. You cannot say that Square Enix is horrible UNTIL you play Just Cause 2. If you play that game and still don't like them, then I'm amazed.

Just cause 2 was quite bad, there were a few fun things to do but in general it was a sucky game.

The last good Final Fantasy game was Chocobo's Dungeon on the Wii, although there were quite a few bad main series ones (p much all of them, especially 8*) that came before that.

*And also especially 7, 12 and 14.
