Heh, some of that Chobits music has a neat Beatnik feel. Some great stuff so far (I don't understand why people enjoy such dreary music, though ). There's so much, of course, but I'll try to restrict it to a few things others are unlikely to mention (so this isn't a particularly representative sample of music I like, icyww). When labelled, it's important that you listen to the right mix!

Faithless - God is a DJ
BT - Embracing the future (embracing the sunshine mix)
Daft Punk - Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger (puipui mix) (not the other crap mixes)
      Naimee Coleman - Ordinary World
Bliss - Not Quite Paradise (that thread about creating a paradise in lucid dreams made me think this one could grow on some of you lol)

And, well, here are some ones just because you have to be cultured.

      Hot Butter - "Popcorn"
Herman's Hermits - "I'm Henery the Eighth, I Am" (which is not actually about King Henry VIII!)
      Gilbert & Sullivan - "Modern Major-General"

Heh, that reminds me of a good one I heard a while back,
OPM - Heaven is a Halfpipe

"And if I die before I wake...
At least in heaven I can skate."

Also, I love that Daft Punk remix, good stuff.
      Hrm...other good songs...
Juliana Theory - We Make the Road By Walking <- Just found this band, and they've got some pretty good stuff

Space Hog - In the Meantime
The Aquabats - Captain Hampton and the Midget Pirates (Think I might have mentioned this somewhere before...But it rocks.)

Now for a more Celtic flavor of music:
The Bloody Irish Boys - Enniscorthy In a Bottle
The Pogues - Whiskey, You're The Devil (Popular traditional song they covered)
The Real McKenzies - Loch Lomond (Prolly mentioned this before too...)
[23:17:23] <+Kaniaz> "You think I want to look like Leo Volont? Don't you dare"

      Anticon Records
      http://www.anticon.com

The only record label that matters

Also, Asian Dub Foundation - La Haine
this song will have you jumping around the room

      http://www.snoopy.force9.co.uk/adflh.em-pea-three

This could, in some circles, be considered minor, acute copyright infringement
so I stress, this is for educational purposes only
if you enjoy it, buy the damn CD

There is of course Silent Lucidity - Queensryche. I enjoy Stratovarius (Anything from Desting, Visions is the shit) Therion is another good one, said bands combine Metal tendancies with Classical influences, particularly Therion. I'd recommend Secret Of The Runes by Therion.

And of course, Dead Can Dance, fantastic band if your into a more mellow mood.
Defender, Dark Tranquillity, Virgin Steele, Emperor... I could go on forever, God I love music.

I really love that song. I just discovered it, actually. I heard it on Shallow Hal, and loved it.

Huh...coulda sworn I posted this already. Maybe I just drifted off. End of term projects do that to you. Remember kids, say no to school work! Peer pressure is nasty, and teacher pressure is no better!

      Kasabian- LSF (Lost Souls Forever)
      The Pillows- Midnight Down
Green Day- King for a Day (Which is awesome live, btw)
Living Things- Bom Bom Bom (Got really popular really fast, and I'm loving it. Just hope (in vain) that the radio doesn't overplay it and kill it)
Radiohead- Electioneering or Subterranean Homesick Alien
The Seatbelts- Tank (known to most simply as "The Cowboy Bebop Theme")
      The Zombies- She's Not There

Yeah. So I'm senile already and can't remember what I did and what I didn't. The plus side is, I can now make up an awesome history for myself. Dude, now I know why old men come up with those stories...

      Why not?

cause it's akin to YMCA and the Village People
and as a DJ, I own 3 copies of it so I'm entitled to hate it
