What's your favorite Genre?

I haven't seen any threads like this, so what is your favorite genre in music?

I kinda like the one where genres are used as adjectives, rough descriptors applied momentarily to help illustrate particular elements of a song or group of songs, and diversity isn't squeezed out of music by trying to force-fit groups into categories and expecting to format themselves against the standard of that category.

That and alternative rock.

That's true, but how else would you put different artists together? Would you like to go to a Jazz Festival and hear a Hardstyle DJ play?

I can listen to a lot of genres, but I like rock and alternative the most. Sometimes folk as well o.o

I didn't vote because Country/Western wasn't a pick. Also, I really don't listen to a specific genre more than others anymore. I have my favorite artists and they don't fall under one or two or three or even four genres. Also, I don't think hard rock and classic rock should be in the same category.

While I like punk, dubstep and classic rock, indie is missing so I didn't vote.

It's hilarious that pop has zero votes. Jazz and R&B, Soul have zero votes too, but they should have some. If I had voted for a few genres, I would have voted for those. My one vote went to hard rock / classic rock.

I quite enjoy a wide variety of electro, like drum and base and dubstep, although I also the likes of Justice.

Classical! I hardly ever listen to anything else other than Mozart.

Metal and Classical are the only categories that some of the music I like would fall under. Most of what I listen to isn't in either though, and if they fall under any genre I don't know what it's called.
