I struggled with the "obscure music" label, and now I'm having the same trouble defining "odd taste" except it's even more ambiguous.
I once had a bootleg copy of The Shaggs "Philosophy Of The World" on a blank disc. A friend of mine went through and labeled all my stuff and she dubbed that disc "Really Bad girls singing off-beat". I hope that counts.
But I would say that my taste in music is eclectic, not odd. I find it more odd that some people prefer only one or a few kinds without any variation.
Well, at least I don't know anyone in real life who listens to this stuff, but I mostly like 80s Italo Disco. There are quite a few fans of it on the internet though.
Certain Electronic music, Post- Rock, Electro Swing, World Music, off the top of my head.
Soundtrack music is pretty much all I listen to! 'Tis a shame I can't share the beauty of it because all my friends find it lame.
My favourite soundtracks are Doctor Who (I'd kill for the complete score), Tomb Raider and Final Destination.
My favourite style of music (I differentiate between genre and style) is Egyptian-themed tunes - love 'em! They sound so exotic and relaxing :)
How about What does fox say...haha,

My favorite
WANDS / 世界が終るまでは...
So often I've heard that there is "no accounting for taste" and I find that to be so true. I still say it depends on how you define odd, in this case.
For example:
Spoiler for Deerhoof:
A longtime favourite of mine, but at first listen most people are slightly confused-noticeably appalled. Yet that diminishes my enjoyment of it not even a little bit. I enjoy many types of music, and the odd like (everything else) has it's own appeal.
"Buck and Judy" gets bonus odd points for the crazy video, though.

I listen to metal, mainly folky/black, prog and death, and I guess thats odd for most people hehe. I find people who like shitty mainstream music odd though, its as if they literally don't understand what good music is (not trying to sound elitist I don't care what they listen to as long as it isn't autotuned computer garbage). Bands like Agalloch, Ne Obliviscaris, Xanthocroid, Be'lakor and *gulp* even Jorn I really like.
I see some of you are into video game music. I love all good music, so naturally can't forget about these two classic soundtracks:

I have never played a game that had a soundtrack so perfect as Tekken 3. Every track is a killer.
I'm not sure if this is an odd taste in music. I might just be out of the loop, but I've only found two songs that really seemed to catch the vibe I liked so much.
The first one is one I found recently, can't remember where, but I really like how it sounds.
Amber Run - I found ft. London Contemporary Voices
The other one, I was obsessed with for quite a while, despite it being recorded on a train station.
Árstíđir - Heyr Himna Smiđur
Anyone know more like this?

I reckon if this was run on a loop (with meditation) for a few weeks it would lead to enlightenment. Can someone try it and let me know?
Ah, "weird" music, my one constant companion. I like trance, chillout, gothic metal, power metal, and "anime music" for sure. In high school I wouldn't let anyone else listen to my iPod because there was only weird-person-music on it.

I don't think it constitutes as odd (at least that's what I think), but I love listening to Sherlock Holmes OST when I'm writing. The upbeat tempo of the instruments inspires my brain cells. :)
I like to listen to video game music - like The Simpsons: Hit and Run, Crash Bandicoot, Sonic - and Japanese music.
I sometimes like to listen to foreign music, because of the fact that I don't know what the lyrics are saying. It adds to the feeling I guess. And of course because I like the music.

No. I only have an OLD taste in music.
I don't think there is an odd taste in music, every genre is unique and has its own characteristics.
Metal in general but I really love symphonic metal (think Nightwish, Epica, Therion, etc.) and black metal. I don't know why but I find black metal really relaxing.
Others would definitely say so, because to me there are only two categories of music: metal and bull****.
Operatic pop, like Il Volo and then there is Kpop, EXO and EXO-CBX, as well.
Operatic pop is opera and pop fused together. Kpop is korean pop.
I'm obsessed with anything with a strong bass line and this is a trend that has continued for more than a decade - my brain is hardwired for it. Back in high school I loved hardstyle/hardcore, then I fell into a love of DnB, then trap & progressive, and now I am in love with funk + bass and glitch hop. Honestly I think it really comes down to my love of dancing and being a naturally high energy person. :D
Also you think after almost 10 years of being on this forum I'd figure out how to embed videos, but that isn't the case, so here is a link to some groovy shit:

Got to see them in person and it was AMAZING :awesomed:
my taste is pretty normal especially since there aren't really any "weird" songs on my top 100, most unique it gets is Isador's Jungle and BYU's cover of Nearer, My God, to Thee . However, I can always give very interesting suggestions such as "A love song/non love song", "Heart of a Graveyard ", and "booty swing" (all three also from top 100)
An odd taste for music? That's a litotes in my case.
I listen to a lot of microtonal music. That's kind of like the lucid dreaming of the music world. Crazy stuff. Been listening to it actively for over two years now, and I adore it.
Aside from that, I like contrapuntal classical music and video game music. And I'm also way too narcissistic with my own music.
