      Phone apps

Which phone apps are you using, or would recommend?

Feel free to list any and all.

My intention here is 'get with the times' stay updated and I want to find a decent sleep monitor app.

Also of interest would be some apps for meditation or connecting with others that are spiritually inclined.

I tried headspace, didn't find it too beneficial.

Most of the apps are pretty useless, especially if you have been meditating many years already.

I recently bought a smart watch as a way to monitor my health and fitness, I was quite delighted with the in-built sleep monitor!

Only got the watch yesterday and it recorded last nights sleep without me even setting it up, showed heaps of info about all the patterns and everything... pretty awesome.o

It's got a lot of other functions too, like monitoring heart rate, blood oxygen levels, stress levels, blood pressure, etc. So glad I bought it!

I've dabbled with a few meditation apps also and didn't end up keeping most of them either, but they may be useful for a beginner, someone trying to establish a solid habit, or those who enjoy guided meditations.

The one app I still use is called "Interval Timer Tibetan Bowl" by Secco; an interval timer with just the right amount of features. I use the standard timer for meditation sometimes as a reminder to check my focus at certain points (you can set the interval you want) and the random timer for mindfulness practice (you choose the min and max time and it randomizes the length between chimes). There's also an advanced timer that looks like it could be useful for someone doing a timed interval exercise routine but I haven't really used that feature.

Congrats on the smart watch Which kind did you get? I have a Fitbit Charge 2 myself and I love getting all those stats too (but it sounds like yours has more, pretty cool!)

I read some reviews and everything seemed to suggest not skipping out money wise and getting the latest watch, they basically all said get samsung for android, apple for apple phones, and 3rd option being fitbit. So having an android phone I went with the latest samsung watch 3 and quite happy with it, got a good price too.
