Civilization IV is as buggy as fuck, unfortunately. Just got it, and I know this is not Sid Meier-quality stuff. 2k rushed the project a few months, and now the game is hardly playable on many machines. More half the posts on message boards are about fixing bugs, and many of the fixes don't work. Firaxis, or rather, the publisher, 2k Games, has not been effective in dealing with the manner.

Age of Empires 3, on the other hand, was a bit enjoyable. It suffers a bit from it's graphics engine, which taxes a lot out of the system, but it's good fun.

The first sequels of both of them I find the best (for dumbf**s who can't count, that's Civ2 and AOE2).

But Civ2 is simply a most enjoyable game, 10/10.

Alas, I don't care much for RTS, although my games with AoE2 with my brother, in which I always lost but then retreated my king into a godforsaken impenitrable place on the map, and then boast over chat about my "army of millions waiting to vanquissh the infidel invaders", yeah, that was fun.
