      Underground Electronica

Any electronica heads on this forum?
Breakbeats, Trance, House, Acid Jazz, Electro, Techno, Drum & Bass, Jungle, whatever makes you get up and move can be discussed here. I’d just think it would be interesting to see who all here is into the underground music scene.

And since I’m known for spreadin’ the love, I’ll be posting links to some of the baddest beats, breaks and dance stuff that I can find.
I'm mostly about breakbeats and drum and bass, but if anyone else knows any good dj's or tracks, post 'em!

(Not all of the track names are correct. Some of the songs are cut out of full mixed sets.)

      One of my personal favs.

I could go on for days with a list of good stuff...so I'll try to keep the list brief.

Here are some artists that I dig and next to them is my fav. track by them:

(Some random electronica <across the board> from the past year or so)
Voodo & Serano - Blood is Pumpin
      Fischerspooner - Emerge
Eric Prydz - Call on Me
      Shaft - Mucho Mamba
Lock 'n Load - Blow Ya Mind
Stigma w/Master Mixin Mando - Don't Knock It

(These are remakes of classic 80 songs that are pretty hot)
Digital Rockers - Because I Love You
Ago - Tell Me Where You Are
Ian Van Dahl - Where Are You Now
Jade Starling - Catch Me I'm Falling
Nova Space - Time After Time
Daphne Rubin Vega - Rocket Man
J&R Project - Keep It Up

(and a couple of silly tracks that are addicting)
      Circ - Destroy She Said
      Papaya - Hero
Hide the kids...Uncle ITM is back!

I used to listen to The Prodigy all the time when I was younger. I listen to metal now but I still like Breath and Firestarter.

I read the titel of this thread as 'Underground Erotica'.
I believe this means I should go and get laid.

I don't really know much (read as, anything) about 'Electronica', I'm more of an indie-rocker myself.

But if you're looking for some cool crossover type stuff, check out MSTRKRFT. It's one of the guys from Death From Above 1979 (the bassist I think...not sure), he does some pretty cool remixes of popular indie-rock/pop songs.

The remix of the Metric song 'Monster Hospital' is probably my fav.

      Other MSTRKRFT remixes I enjoy:
      Woman (Wolfmother)
      Two More Years (Bloc Party)
      No Wow (The Kills)

But again, I don't really know what constitutes talent in this area of the music spectrum, I also don't know if remixes qualify or whatever...so don't laugh.

MachineDrum " Now You Know " is one of my favorite albums.
I also listen to alot of Infected Mushroom, Tiesto and whatever Digitally Imported is
      streaming on their Psy-Trance channel.
Bukem and Drumagick for my D&B/ Jungle fix.

Good topic, O. You can never have enough musical resources.

      Check out Merck Records www.m3rck.net

Yup. Can't beat ambient lounge and chillout to nurse a hangover.
If we were allowed to stream here at work, I'd be hitting up the winamp stations all day. lol.

But yeah, Bukem is an awesome drum and bass artist. Got that nice, chill chicago midwest jazz type sound. Good stuff.
Kruder and Dorfmeister are good too.

I love good dance music, I'm not so much into trance or drum and bass, more of a progressive and electronica and housy sound.

      Some stuff I love:

      Autechre
      Boards of Canada
      PQM Project
      Deep Dish
      Lao & Bushwaka!
      Leftfield
      Alex Dolby
      Watkins
      Orbital
      Underworld
      Felix Da Housecat
      Squarepusher
      Danny Tenaglia

I've been listening to prog house for so long that I've kinda 'forgotten' how to listen to songs with words. It's weird, but oh well.

Also, for anyone who doesn't know of the group, check out "Hybrid" They are legends in the electronica scene. Got some really nice orcheststral breaks and trance.
