One of my favorite memories is going to a Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds Concert with my mom.
I haven't listened to them in a few years...but am currently relapsing.
So, yeah. Nick Cave.

Roger Daltrey sounds different, but that's expected from a 24 year wait from their last album. Still, it's FANTASTIC! Worth the wait. Probably The Who's last album, but they're going out with a bang.

"The Passenger" by Iggy Pop
Pink Floyd - High Hopes
One of the few, VERY VERY few, songs I have that have a better studio version than live. Not by much, though.
High Hopes rules. Pink Floyd is one of my two favorite bands, i frequently use this tune in my clinic while i do massages. You sir, have impeccable taste in music.
I love it when people notice that! :D It's gotten me out of more than a few detentions, thanks to teachers being fans. I once got into a fight with a Korn fan because he wouldn't believe that Another Brick In The Wall was made by Pink Floyd. In the end, Him = suspension, Me = scot-free.
It pays, sometimes. :D
Edit: Massage therapy? Hmm. High Hopes is good, but On An Island (The song, probably the whole album too) by David Gilmour is probably more appropriate for that. The song is amazing... I reccomend you get it.
"Death Letter" by The White Stripes (Live @ The Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto - Sept 16/05)

As for genre, well, I'm partial to acoustic, screamo, hard rock, electronica, etc.. :D
Can someone explain to me what "screamo" is? It's gotten popular lately around here, and I don't know what it is.
I keep picturing a "Screamo" band as a bunch of musicians and their instruments thrown down a flight of stairs, and the resulting mixture of noise recorded. Kekeke.
EDIT: Oh yeah, I just got The Pros And Cons Of Hitch Hiking by Roger Waters. Awesome, as anything having to do with Waters or Pink Floyd in any way tends to be.
Genesis - Another Record
Still listening to the huge discograhy I download. Go huge discographies!
'And I Was A Boy From School' by Hot Chip
It's popular? Really?
Oooh.. I should be able to find some simliarly-interested people then! Horay!
Well, it's sort of..
Screamo is like "emo", I guess, but where the vocalist screams. Hence the name.
I'm not very good at deifning music, but... The music itself is rockish/alternative/punkish/hardcore, while the artist usually screams, or growls. It can be fast, or slow. It can have like.. 20% screaming, or be an all out "rawrwarggrrrrr" kinda thing where you wouldnt even be able to tell if the person was speaking english.
One of the more popular "screamo" bands lately have been Alexisonfire, although they aren't all that hard really. Underoath, also. Norma Jean, From Autumn to Ashes, HeavyHeavyLowlow, 'Drop Dead, Gorgeous', and a bunch others.. lovely baaands.
