Long time lurker but first time poster, I've been listening to my own music lately which sounds kind of conceited but that's ok. I recently finished an album's worth of songs inspired in part by architectural dreams of vague temples and palaces, and a growing knowledge and enthusiasm for ancient history since I am minoring in classical studies at school. This video for one of the songs sort of evokes that.

Been a long time since I saw the movie... But the flying carpet in aladdin is kind of like a pet right?
Makes for a nice pun.
It's a flying car pet....:rolllaugh:
I was going to post Modul 48 by Nik Bartsch Ronin or Skip by Fly but I couldn't find them on youtube.

This song is a guilty pleasure of mine. I remember hearing it a little as a kid and always remembering the bridge bit towards the end and the "you can be my someone you can be my seed" bit, but never knew what the song was. My brother played it a few months ago and I instantly recognized it and started gobbling it up lol. The only other song I've had a simialr reaction to AFAIK is Behind Blue Eyes by Limp Bizkit. I guess I just love the riffs and his voice is such a great grungy voice.

I've been listening to the whole Witcher 3 OST but this song in particular is fantastic (There are so many good ones though). I love the lyra instrument that sounds like a rustic violin.
Currently really digging Rihanna's Anti album from last year.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LhlCLARky1s&index=1&list=PLVP1nukhQ7IkYT9J uzxp5rHlLLPiXzMw8
Really enjoying this album

I am actually currently listening to the songs from a Swedish television series from 1986 known as "Macken" (Swedish for "The Gas Station") - it is basically a professional comedy show and a musical thrown together, where the acting is realistic (the characters are never trying to be funny, they just have a bunch of funny situations, and the plot is very well-written) but where they also start singing songs every now and then which are more or less part of the story itself.
Anyway, here are a few classics from that show, and I think all of them were written by the actors themselves.
They have an incredible charm that's hard to resist - even those who normally despise musicals or anything similar to that genre can enjoy them, not to mention the series itself:

Notice, by the way, that "real" Swedish doesn't sound anything at all like Swedish Chef's jibberish. :cheeky:
<3 Sweden (never been, just, something about the people, gotta love you guys xD)
Here's a tune I've got on just now that I feel every human being probably should hear.

I am gonna advertise Sweden some more I think, lol.
I feel that the artist Ted Gärdestad is criminally unknown outside of Sweden, since he might actually have almost the same status in Sweden as ABBA themselves.
His songs are truly beautiful, and appeals to anyone regardless of country.
My favourite track is probably "Himlen är oskyldigt blå" ("The sky is blue with innocence") - it's hard to not be deeply moved by that song, and his other songs are great as well.
