New nVidia 3D Vision stereoscopic system

nVidia just came out with a new stereoscopic 3D system that actually works (reportedly). What do you guys think, anybody tried it, anybody interested? It uses the good old active shutter glasses, wireless, in combination with a 120Hz LCD monitor. So you get a 60Hz full color image at any resolution with little to no eye strain. It seems a lot less "gimicky" than previous attempts at stereoscopic 3D. The reason is - you just put on the glasses and that's basically it. No restrictions for the viewing angle, no color blurring, no setting up every game separately. Full low-level driver support for almost any game. Of course you can also view any 3D movie or image with this. Haven't tried it though so I'm just saying what's out there. Price is 200$ for glasses, 400$ for monitor. I definitely have to check this out at a store, seems like stereoscopic 3D might finally make a comeback after LCD technology pretty much killed it altogether.

Check out some reviews I would agree with the negative reviews that it's best either to wait for the second generation or at least wait until there are more 120Hz screens available and prices drop / wait until you actually need a new monitor. Also there are still issues with a number of games working poorly that have to be worked out. oh right i thought it was something else, i understand what it is now, i thought it was virtual reality glasses. i know that people have made virtual reality, but noone has made it a big thing. but the idea of 3d gameplay is awsome.

There are decent Head Mounted VR displays out there, they just cost anywhere between a PC and an SUV.
