yeah, only a handful of games (ie, zelda) are really worth mentioning. It's mostly "scene" kids who hype it up make it so annoying.

It's nostalgia. I, as countless others, grew up playing these things. For some that might not mean anything, but i know that it's a lot of fun for me to replay those games every now and then and revisit my childhood for a while.

Plus some of them really are a lot of fun to play. I don't see why you're so motivated to slam people who enjoy something you don't.

dont get me wrong. i like it. i have it (somewhere in my basement). but it isn't that super amazing. im not slammin you cause it is fun to play some games on it once in a while for enjoyment. im talkin about people how reference it as a term for amazing and people who talk 24/7 bout it. my point is.
that many people shouldn't be so obsessed with it!

Where did this thread even come from...?
There was one simple topic created to list a few games for the SNES that people remember out of nostalgia and now this? Who's obsessed? Who's talking about it too much?

The SNES and NES were great because they put actual effort into the gameplay aspect of the game, all you see today is shiny this and polygon count that... its dumb.

Exactly! There are few things I love as much as playing FF6 on my SNES and reciting the dialogue before it's said (I know, I know, I'm a dork.).

For a second I read that as "a high Porygon count". 'Cuz you know you've got a good game on your hands when it has a high Porygon count.

If a movie starts another genre, and after a few years it's special effects look lame, it can still be a good movie.

SNES van revolutionairy in it's time, and some games they have created are timeless. There is a reason no one is talking about commedore or about the virtuaboy or about the saturn, becouse non had such good games as the SNES did.

Saturn had good games, it was just overpriced for what it did. (PS3 )
