All of Death From Above 1979. Good stuff to rock out to . Only drums and bass. Maybe not quite what youre looking for though, but still really good bass.
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Celebrating the fifth year anniversary of you asking me this question.

Also, I know you said no hip-hop....but there are a ton of great acts out there. Take it from a guy who used to hate the genre because of ridiculous generalizations.

Check Out:
Lupe Fiasco, MF Doom (along with DangerDoom and Madvillain), Clipse, DJ Shadow, Spank Rock, Gorillaz, Del Tha Funky Homosapien (along with Deltron 3030), K'naan, Busdriver, El-P, k-os, Mos Def (older stuff), and The Streets....to name a few.

Well. Do you like heavy metal bands? If so, there's this awesome band called Kittie who is great. (It's an all girl band, but they kick ass; seriously.)
For starters, listen to their song "Raven" (in album Spit). One of their best.

Well then, Metallica (duh). Um. Seether, although they don't have a very heavy bass line....

On the rock/metal front, Korn has some wicked bass lines.
