It was aight. I expected a little more, but it's just the premiere. It's pretty interesting (especially the chick with the "mirror power" ) so, we'll see. It could turn out to be really good.

I really wanted to see it. I hunted for it but realised that the redistributed american channel covering the show gets here in a modified version. So, no heroes for me . It's only NBC when the news or the tonight show is on. Bastards.

they have an encore tonight at 8.

haha. same here, the episode just ended and i just say that. i was kind of confused at first because i didn't think it would have to do w/ anything like comic books, but now im very interested. i can't wait til monday!

Ya, there pullin some "Lost" stunts here with the addons like the comic book and Hiro's blog. This will be big.

The show is awesome. About time someone thinks of something fresh for fiction.

I'm really lovin' this show, though I watch it online rather then when it comes on. (If you go to the offical site, you can watch the weeks episode...you can do that with any show on NBC I believe)

I am eager to figure out what that 'mirror' girl's real power is, as well as what happens to the cheer leader. They haven't updated it on the site yet, so I haven't seen this weeks episode...but I bet it'll be sweet!

I think you've got most of 'em down. I didn't even realize about the younger brother until I read what you wrote, but that definately makes sense (even moreso through the preview of next week's ep than this one's content). I guess I was thrown off a bit at the end of the episode, with Hiro's unexpected entrance. His katana on his back, dress-wear, and remark about the scar sort of ominiously foreshadow that the group doesn't "save the world". Or maybe they do but are constantly on the run and ostricized from society. Who knows.

I also think the cop's powers don't end at mind-reading. This is hinted with the killer "everyman" status, and how he control's that woman's arm.

Overall, it's a terrific show.

I'm not so sure about the ability for the young brother to mimic others' abilities. I think that Hiro refines his own abilities to where he can stop time for everyone except whoever he wishes, by the time he comes back from the future.

Hmm..well you might have a point. I was thinking that maybe Hiro would be surprised of the guy stopped time without Hiro's help. But then, he's from the future, so he'd already know? And, that'd also explain why Peter (the younger brother) wasn't able to fly when his brother wasn't around.

Well, from the last show, these where kinda confirmed (and my thoughts that could be spoilers if I am right).

Trance girl:
When we see the back of the stripper as she was “possessed” , we see the tattoo on her shoulder. It is the same as her (confirmed) ex boyfriend’s pendant. WHO is not dead but acting on a plan use these abilities.

Does the tattoo only appear when she is “tranced“?
Is she “possessed” by a “mental copy (impression)” of her ex that he might have planted there when they were a couple? Or does he connect and control her remotely? Did they need to have shared connection somewhere?

Shared abilities:
Shared time warp in subway and share vision painting in the studio. Only the younger brother was at the scene on both occasions. Freaky when his eyes looked the same as the artist’s.

Could the next target of the killer be the Cheerleader? Who’s Dad is really her keeper (associated with the mind wiper).

Killer:
What’s the goal of the killer? Is he targeting ability people? Why? Is this a governmentally funded scientific study gone horribly wrong)

Regeneration:
Well, how low does it have to go (regeneration) in the cells or elsewhere to remember all to reconstruct the body so that all is ok (body and mind)…

Mind Wipe:
At least it did not wipe the cop’s ability (or was in on purpose that it was left there). Can the mind wipe make you a vegetable?

I don't think the horn-rimmed glasses dude and company are the real bad guys, although they do a ton of questionable things (such as the mindwipe/reprogramming on that jock kid). I also don't believe they wish to exploit the "heroes", but simply attain their tissue samples and such for other, less, "destroy the world" schemes. So many they are bad. But I don't think they constitute the real problem. Who knows though; those are just my guesses and ideas.

Did anyone notice how the Telepath's abilties were more potent after they messed with his head? Perhaps they are doing something that helps a person develop their ability a lot faster?

Is the mind wiper and the stripper’s ex the same guy?

Last week's show, I thought so (only saw ex in photograph). The wiper does have the pendant I mentioned. DL has a square one. He can go through solid matter.

Noticed how it was impossible throughout the show to see the back of the stripper to spot the tattoo while she was normal.

Was hero successful at bending time during the attack and could not do any thing (and witnessed it) or was he simply not able to bend time at that moment? The conversation after the fact leaves this unclear.

I'd say that he is her ex, considering the picture did look just like him. Perhaps he was on assignment from the cheerleaders dad and that is how he got pinned for murder?

And as far as the telepath, I meant...when he was in the bar, his abilties didn't seem so potent. Only hearing one person at a time or so, not overwhelming him. Yet in the store he went to after they captured and released him he was able to pick up on everyones thoughts at once to the point he couldn't concentrate.

I haven't seen last nights episode yet, since I always watch it the day after online for convenience sake.

While Hiro seems to be the person with the greatest grasp on his abilities, he still hasn't mastered them yet. It appears he needs to concentrate quite strongly in order to use them; no doubt this will change as he becomes more experienced. After all, in order to look badass you can't appear like you're going to take a massive shit everytime you use your powers.
