Thread: Im Looking For An Expert At Anime/manga Style

Ill get to the point.

I want to make my novel idea into a graphic novel in the style of a manga.

I want the style to be more "adult" that cartoony, so realistic. It will need to contain - sadly - voilence and blood.

My idea is a Sc-fi/fantasy, is technologicly advanced, but contain elements of Ancient Japan, and is pretty dark.

I dont really want to say my full idea openly, but im willing to part with it if you PM me if interested.

Ill give a taster to either make you drool or probably make you exit this thread fast

Anyway...... A recent war between two technologically advanced empires has left the eastern one in ruins and under Martial Law, not only that but a mysterious petrified creature subsiding under sea is missing. The Site from where the creature subsided has been flooded by a purple liquid where strange demons have made their homes. The Imperial soldiers ruling the eastern empire have taken it their mission to search for survivors and destroy the roaming demons. However, the Imperials also seem to be on a different mission; not only do they seem to be searching for the missing creature but they also seem to be obsessed in recruiting new soldiers and taking them to the site from where the creature subsided. Another thing is that not only demons have been seen around the empire but also strange spirits which make their journey from all around to gather around the site every year.


And More....... The blood from the creature is used by the Imperials for energy, which they call ReiKon Energy (japanese for spirit/soul). This energy powers all the Imperial's machinery, armour and weapons. The organisation RETO - ReiKon Energy Transition Organsisation - which are the people who convert the blood into energy, have been testing on soldiers. They replace the energy with the soldiers blood and test the results. The results of these tests are that the majority of the specimens become mutated, insane or die; however, some of the specimens are greatly enhanced physically, mentally and magically. These enhanced soldiers are called ReiKon Soldiers and are the elite force of the Imperials/RETO, although hardly anyone knows about them and the tests on soldiers.
They have also been testing on children and seing if it effects their growth, prehaps making a new stronger breed of ReiKon soldiers.

This is where the main characters come in: Nakito and his older brother, when young, were specimens of this experiment and injected with the ReiKon energy........ Ive already said to much.
