I love starcraft

It looks like it will be cool. I'm definately going to get it once it is out.

im assuming the screenshots are from starcraft one right? Unless of course they want it to stay similiar graphics, though something like cnc 3 would be good.

Note ive never played or seen starcraft, but if its an RTS i would expect cnc 3 ish graphics for a next-gen game.

I hope it has a good map editor. I loved the Warcraft 3 world edit.

Did you guys see the picture of Kerrigan with the tentacles braking?

Similar graphics? Starcraft was released in 1999, the graphics blow starcraft 1 out of the water. Those are starcraft 2 screenshots by the way, they look better then CNC3 to me.

StarCraft was 2D. StarCraft II is 3D. The pictures on that site and ingame. If you check some of the vids, you'll see, that the graphics are much better than Tiberium Wars 3. Atleast from what i think. It's a bit catoony, but hell, all Blizzard's games are cartoony

this is starcraft two? How can this be called better graphics then cnc3, if i didnt know id thinkit was starcraft one. Ive nevr played starcraft one but from the looks of that screenshot, it could have been made quite a while ago, but thats just me.

if you look our pictures are infact the same game. Anyway i think my problerm is that i dont kind the cartoony graphics of it.

If you look at it, your post of a pic has Battle cruisers in it and he has a pic that has them in it too. They are vastly different from each other, thus yours is SC I and his is SC II

What do you mean they are the same game? Your picture was Starcraft 1, his was Starcraft II! Starcraft II looks way better than Starcraft.

Yeah, that picture is from Starcraft 1.

There are also pictures swirling around, from a C&C: Generals mod, that is called StarCraft 2. It looks bad

This game will probably be the greatest RTS of all time, you should definitely buy it. Starcraft is almost 10 years old and I still love it! If you ever find the original for a cheap price, I would get it (don't expect to be better than some newer RTS games though).

The one thing that blizzard always gets right is community. Battle net is probably the largest contributer to starcraft's success. That and the easy-to-use map editor. I mean, who really played startcraft to build up then kill other people? XD It was mainly the defense games and the mass games that proved to be popular..

Ahh.. good times.. good times... Now I wanna break out my copy of starcraft.. too bad it broke on me =/.

I loved the Starcraft map editor. It could do so many things! Also when compared with the Warcraft 2 map editor, Starcraft's is God.

anyone play TA( total annihilation) i think that was a very good game for its time to, i have 5000 maps for it taking up 5GB right now:p

I mean its physcics engine rivals and beats most RTS even now, the gravity and win effecting bullets, 3D terrain and movement, it is generally a great game, supreme commander has not lived up to it by any means, im kinda disappointed in it.

Lol I agree! I love warcraft 3's world edit. It annoyingly crashes sometimes though. That never happened to me with starcraft's star edit. I hope Starcraft 2's map edit will be Super-super-God compared to Warcraft 3's map edit!
