Thread: Best Minesweeper Times?

I recall how I once started it up a long time ago, in the default beginner mode and what not, then left-clicked randomly on it, moved the mouse in a casual wave and let go...and it solved itself. No options altered, just the default mode. In one second. I was in awe. >.<

Yeah, I had beginner mode done in two seconds once. There's no skill there, you just have to get really lucky with the mines.

Sometimes it falls down to gueswork

that game is so darn addictive. Still have not been able to complete the expert mode yet....I got so close, I was down to the last two squares and I had to guess!

Not quite as good as space invaders

Ive had beginner done in 6 seconds and expert in 240
Intermediate was 90 something

Its an aoblsutely amazing game, i just ahte it when you spend ages and then you fall into a position where there is no possible way of working out it out. You guess. You die. lol

I haven't even beaten the hardest one...I rarely play that one.

Idunno, I was just so set on beating my sis-in-law with intermediate and beginner...I really didn't care for even trying expert.

Idunno...too much for my tiny little brain.

I can rarely beat easy.

Ages 'n ages ago (like back on Win'95)
there was a VB app floating around that could take control of minesweeper

Once my brother was playing on easy, and he got it on the first click! His time was 1 second!!!!!!

No, the numbers tell you how many mines are near it, you left click where you think the mine is, which makes a red flag. It tells you how many mines there are. Yeah.

And, yeah, there is this technique, where, in one click, if you click on a 'secret' place, you win the whole game in 1 second. My ex-bf was telling me about it. He did the expert in 1 second.

Apparently I don't know how to play. I didn't know you could win in one click. Some one please tell me how to play!

You start by clicking on a grey square in the box.
If the number is a 1, then there is only 1 mine in the 8 surrounding boxes, leaving you free to click the other 7. but to find that out, you need to click a one somewhere else and see what that number is. If you find a square which you believe to be a mine, Right click it, and it should turn into a red flag. Leave this till the end and till you have found all the mines and clicked all the safe squares

And there is a cheat, but won't say it because of people cheating on their times

I really don't care lol.

Don't see how it would help your time though.

How do you start the game? Do you just guess a few sqaures to start if off? I always click the four corners, then maybe a few in the middle first, then I start to look at the numbers to actually play.

Yeah, I usually keep clicking til I get a rather large set, then, I start. I'm kinda rusty. Though, the other day, I went from a 70 (seconds) to like...54...I was SO happy. I gotta start getting back into it so I can beat my sister-in-law's 43 score. She beat my best score by 2!! [on intermediate]

I still hold the record though, in the house, of beating beginners in 5 seconds!!
