      Zelda: Twilight Princess

This has got to be one of the greatest Story Games of all time. But I don't actually know if it beats Final Fantasy X on the Playstation Two. This Game is on the Nintendo Wii and Gamecube incase anyone doubtfully havn't heard of this game. Here's the URL for the Game Introduction.

It's awesome. My brother and I beat it like 3 days after we got it. It's alot like ocarina of time, which is good because that game was flawless. I love the whole 'two-worlds' thing. Very good game.

      It does.

      *SPOILERS*

Indeed, this is my second favorite Zelda to date (Just behind Majora's Mask). It would have been perfect except for a few things: I hated how the Twilight was all techno-ish... I just wanted a simple, beautiful twilight. I also disliked how the twilight people looked. The twilight dungeon was lame, too. If they had only fixed those few things... oh, man.

Also, Midna is one of the most awesome characters I've ever come across in a video game.

I think it's a pretty good game, I liked it more than OoT and MM. But I would still put FFX above it.

In my personal opinion, FFX sucked big time. Probably because FF7 was so good, I had high expectations. But FF12 was really good. And Midna is friggin awesome! Just as cool as Issun from Okami.

The way it talks is pretty cool isn't it. Midna, that is.

Worst of the 3D games if you ask me.

It tried so hard to be a better version of Ocarina of Time that it ended falling far short.

The graphics and animations were nice, but missing the charm of The Wind Waker and even the other two 3D ones.

Oh and the music, apart from the theme, was instantly forgettable. Probably the worst composition of the series. (Apart from Phantom Hourglass actually, but that game is apparently better in the other areas and isn't out here yet).

Twilight Princess was met with lackluster sales and sadly, it deserved it. Zelda needs a big change in structure, PH is offering one and I hope the real Wii Zelda will too. No more of this Ocarina-style quest thanks.

I agree with AlexD, the game was just too similar throughout. I felt like I was just playing the same levels with different facades. Also, I found that the wolf parts just felt gimmicky and added very little to the game. It was too drawn out as well with little explanation to some of the things that you did. for example, you had to collect those parts of the shadow armour or whatever it was called only for the bad guy (who's name I have forgotten) to steal them. You don't know why you are given them until the very end. Nor did they didn't capitalise on the Wii's motion sensing capabilities. Add to this the forgettable characters which lack any real charm compared to that of WW. Wind Waker had much better graphics as well in my opinion, technically they weren't superior to TP's, but they exuded a charisma that made them better; such as the facial expressions in WW when Link was doing different actions.

TP is still a good game, it's just it should have been so much better.

I've started to play this game, well twice, and each time got kinda bored. Something about the washed out way the graphics look. If you look at OoT, it was crisp and clean. The "dududududududu" noise that happens during text is a bit annoying. But I'll give it another go I guess since some people really like it.

Don't get me wrong, Twilight Princess is a good game, just not Zelda good. In fact, it's only just good.

FF6 FF7 and FF9 all had better stories than this. I haven't played the ps2 FFs so I don't know about those.

You really should give The Wind Waker a go, absolutely brilliant Zelda game with charming graphics.

What really really REALLY annoyed me in TP was that little fairy thing that flicked all around the screen making a litle tinkling noise. It felt so out of place, it 's light didn't affect the lighting in the game whatsoever, nor did any game characters look at it. It looked like it had been tacked on at the very last minute. I turned it off within minutes though.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has topped a poll of readers of Edge magazine and industry experts to find the top 100 games of all time.

      http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/6261546.stm

Im gonna have to go with the majority, as far as zelda goes ocarina of time will be hard to beat. I was wondering why you compared it to final fantasy x anyway, what about FF7 & 9!

Alex D I have the demo! Yeah it's ace. I got with the Anniversery Addition for Christmas along with my Gamecube (Opened Sepretly), with both Nes ones on, and OOT and MM! and a little video of all of them! And the demo to WW!

Sorry, just come out of Chat so I'm in stupid-Typing mode, everyones talking at ones! Had to get out of the there!

Edit - Yeah I like the graphics.

Ack! What's with all this Twilight Princess bashing?

Too similar to OoT? Not even close... TP was darker, and had much more stylin' artwork (and I'm not talking about the generation gap). TP's story was less generic, and most of all, included some memorable characters cast in non-silly roles.

And personally, I was kind of disappointed with Wind Waker. It had some awesome music ('sup Dragon Roost Island), but I found that all of the sailing got dull and repetitive. And the quest to find all of the triforce pieces underwater...

Also, comparing Zelda to Final Fantasy is apples to oranges. Zelda goes for a simple, elegant storyline, usually. Final Fantasy is more complex and varied.

      Be my friend.

And pffft! You can say that again, Final Fantasy XII!

Ahehehe. Thought I would give this thing a go for the third time and see if it could hold my attention. I lurve it. Omg.

Strange, it did make me a bit nostalgic for FFX though.
