Pretty amazing.
OMFG, that is amazing! He has a very fast reaction time and knows his tetris. He is definatly asian lol.
the end gets even crazier.
I've also seen other videos of that dude playing. I think it's the same person. All I know is that that's insanely insane. I bow before the master.
That's insane. Imagine how fast he had to think to place those pieces in their places. Especially the invisible part. That's just crazy.
That's crazy!!!
Hey, when did Tetris start displaying the next 3 blocks (instead of just the one next block)?
:holyshit: this seems like a good time to break out the holyshit smiley
I like when he accidentally messes up near the beginning and flips the block into the hole - that's freaking amazing!
I've been reading up about it. It's from a Japanese-only Tetris game for hardcore fans. The level shown is the hardest in the game, and he has the fastest completion time. Torwards the end, the speed of the pieces is "20G" This means that the piece falls 20 levels in 1 frame. Guess how tall the playfield is: 20 blocks. This means that the block falls from top to bottom in just one frame. He only has the briefest of moments before it starts dropping and when it has landed but has not yet locked in place (we're talking fractions of seconds here) to move the piece.
Madness.
Look at his hand and where he moves the blocks. I know someone who can play like that their is basically a trick like solving the Rubix cube really fast. Saying that a rubix cube is much easier to solve then tetris.
While it's much easier to solve a rubik's cube than beating "invisible tetris" on master level, I can't say whether it's easier to learn to solve a cube lightning fast (like on the videos) than to play tetris the way the guy does.
In fact I was hoping no one was going to make that joke. Ugh.
I had a "128-in-1!" Tetris LCD game as a kid. Loved it, but it abused the power of maths to fool kids. It basically had 7 very minor modifications to the game, like wrapping playfields or even stupid ones like the inclusion of a 1x1 block, and then had "all" the combinations of those. 2^7 = 128, so they weren't lying. What they didn't tell you is that you'll always be playing game #1 because that's the only one that doesn't have stupid changes that break the game.
PS: I edited this andd hopefully no one spotted my utter stupidity. And I'm not telling you what it was now...
No way! That guy is my identical hand twin!
...I think my brain just exploded.
That was fucking incredible.
Haha. I've seen a bunch of variations of those. I have some myself but never intended to play any of them. But you're right. There's nothing but a bunch of very minor variations of the same exact thing. Basically, they're calling each "level", or board, a new game and giving you direct access to each. The reaches of semi-false advertisement are long.
It's almost like calling every room in Resident Evil a different game and giving you the ability to go to any room directly from the main menu. "389 games in 1! It's like buying one game and getting 388 games FOR FREE!!!" I can see the ads now. We'll make a million, I tell ya'.
*wonders what this mistake is that he hears so much about*
That was the most awesome display of gaming that I've seen in a long time!
Notice that when he played the part he could see, he didn't waste a single block of space. :o
Good to see you, TweaK.
You're supposed to capitalize the K, but yes, likewise.
fiKsed.
My gratitude to thee, fair sir.
I agree, I saw that video while looking at a similir video. (and I'v already said hi to TweaK)
HOLY *****! so fast! At the end u cant even see the blocks! :holyshit:
Wow. Thanks Umbra for ripping off my tetris thread where I posted the exact same video: http://dreamviews.com/community/showthread.php?t=48476
