Thread: American Gangster

I love gangster/mob movies, but I'll probably wait until it comes out on DVD to watch it. Or maybe I'll convince my friends into seeing it this weekend....

I saw it a few days ago and have to say it is a really good movie I am sure you will enjoy it.

I JUST saw this movie...it's officially become one of my favorites. I recommend everyone over 18 go check it out. Denzel kicks ass.

I will definitely watch it sooner or later. I love well made mafia/gangster movies.

Is this Ridley Scott and Russell Crowe united for a fighting epic again? That's worth seeing.

More like, Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe fighting for control of Harlem. It's an excellent movie and definitely worth seeing.

But Ridley Scott directs it, right? I could check on Wikipedia, but I'm being stubborn.

I saw this movie Friday with my friend. Denzel Washington is such a badass. I never thought they included violence/nudity just for the sake of having it, which was good.

Can someone explain to me the VERY ending? *Minor Spoiler alert* Denzel stepping out onto the street with the rap music playing? I felt like I was missing something...

Gah, now the ending's ruined.

I think the ending simply meant that he (Denzel) had walked back out into a world 15 years later, 15 years different...and broke.

Yeah, ok, thats what I thought too, I guess I was just over-analyzing that part.
