I watched this during the hour of the wolf. It is brilliant.
I thought so.. I mean, I'm not usually a sci-fi fan. Intelligent sci-fi ie this and The Matrix are more my level.
Yeah, for anyone who hasn't seen this, think Matrix with crime mystery with aliensss.
I think it should have been made more noir.
But still. It is good, certainly.
Edit: On hindsight, I love the idea of it, but much of the technical film side could have been improved on I think. Also character concepts.
I loved this movie when it came out, I still think it's great...it's just been replaced by better films now.
I remember seeing this a long time ago. Damned if I could remember anything about it, anymore, though.
I totally agree. On the same level with the movie "Equilibrium", I wish it had a higher budget because it could have been something really impressive. Instead, they end up as sleeper-hits.
I kinda thought the climactic battle was a little cheesy. But other than that, this is one of my most favorite movies. (My top 3 being A Clockwork Orange, Dark City, and possibly Phenomenon (with John Travolta).

True, I think the budget was relatively high, remembering the sets etc. But some of the fight choreogrsphy was just bland.
It rides almost entirely upon its fantastic concept, but with some more originality could have been revolutionary, as far as choreography and effects go.
I have to say that the fight with the... I forget his name, so pardon me for saying this; the black guy - was hillarious.
*Takes out sword* "I said I would make a career out of you" *Gets face cut off.... dies*
owned.

I've always been facinated by this movie... Haven't seen it in some time, though.
the whole memory syringe thing bugged me
just didn't make much sense
especially Kiefer Sutherland taking a mind, mixing in some ambition with a hint of jealousy to see how the guy would respond to his own memories
it's not paint
