Yeah. Looks awesome.
Ttt-yah!!
If its half as good as the novel, it will be awesome... but from the trailer, it seems hollywood managed to f#ck this one up too... :(
It looks great, I can't wait.
I haven't even seen it yet, and I'm already dreaming about it!
then get the book! :) its a classic!!
funny thing is, i read the book earlier this year, out of the blue, because a friend recomended... then one day im sitting in the theater, and there goes the trailer: "My name is Robert Neville..."
huahuahuah :) It kind of freaked me out!! I had NO idea the movie was coming! talk about sincronicity... ;)
f*ckin' hollywood/government propaganda. I seriously doubt 2012 will be anything like that movie is trying to portray in the minds of people.
p.s. I'll go see the movie though...oh yes I will...I will be the as*hole in the front row shooting spitballs through a straw at the screen who also (coincidentally) forgot to mute his cell phone before the movie started.
Will Smith in a movie by himself? He's a bad enough actor when he has other people to help him out. I can't imagine how boring this movie will be. Also, I would be rofl all the time, since Will Smith is such a fool in his movies... It will be like that movie with Tom Hanks, when he's on that island. lol.
Ps: I liked Independence Day though...
Edit: Of course I'm going to see it. So I can be the only one laughing all the time and annoy everyone serious in there. Good times.
Huh. I think Will's a good actor. Of course, he is usually type-cast, but I think he's done a great job in most of his roles. Independence Day; Bad Boys (the first one, specifically); I, Robot; Ali. Even when he's not jumping around and acting like an idiot, he usually pulls off even dramatic scenes pretty well.
But, by the looks of it, this will be a new type of role for him as a whole (doesn't seem like there will be much room for comedy at all), so we'll see.
I haven't seen Pursuit of Happiness yet (the one with his son), so I can't judge on that one.
I can't wait to go watch it, it will be dope yo.
I've got mixed feelings on this movie. I just finished watching it and it's one of those movies where I'm just not sure if I thought it was really fantastic or just mediocre. :?
I liked it. But I'm also really into those end of the world/virus/zombies taking over the planet movies. And I don't go into a movie like this expecting some amazing acting or complex plot, I go to pretend that I'm the main character and get freaked out by the scary shit. I mean, by the end of the movie, there's so much dumb stuff that happens you can't help going "well, why did he do this, or why didn't he do that?" because it's just so stupid, but whatever. Just go to the movie knowing that's what's going to happen and enjoy other parts of it.
The zombies freaked me out. Although the computer animation wasn't top notch, I thought they were really creepy with some of the facial expressions they made. And the intense rage that they have seriously made me almost uncomfortable. It was awesome!
I spent the morning after this movie on my way to work pretending that I was a survivor of the virus and I had to get to work which was a safe place for some reason.
Yay to being lost in stupid fantasy land at the age of 28!
Will Smith will never replace Chuck Heston... Click!
I probably won't see it since I'm tight on cash (all too tight :( ), so I'll probably wait until it comes out on DVD.
The novel is MUCH cooler. The ending is freaking awesome. The movie really strays away from the novel.
I really enjoyed the movie, i think Will Smith did a great job. I did not know it was based on a novel i will have to read that.
This movie was amazing, in my opinion. A lot of the times, I have trouble staying awake during the slow parts of movies, and consequently fall asleep sometimes during them. During this movie, I was already exhausted after a day of school, and running on only about four hours sleep, and it still kept me fully awake because it was just non-stop on-the-edge action. I felt like I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, listening intently to every word, not wanting to miss a single detail. It grabbed my attention and held it the whole way through, and I couldn't help but keep thinking "Oh my God, what's going to happen next!?", all throughout. I thought this was an excellent movie, I wouldn't mind paying to see it again in theatres, and I'll definitely buy it when it comes out.
Yeah, good movie, I didn't like the ending though. It had NOTHING to do with "2012" or "propaganda," Jeff.
I loved it! Although I could'nt figure out how he had running water.
