This was made by a gaming buddy of mine who was toying around with Crysis. Its really breathtaking.

Crysis is a new PC game that's built on a next gen engine that in my and alot of people's opinions is the best one yet, the graphics are amazing due to the massive scale of the maps, great post processing effects and lots of things physically interactive such as movable (by wind also) and destructable vegetation and destructable buildings, a day to night cycle, volumetric couds (real 3D ones in the sky, not painted on a skybox) and some more shit that you can find out here.

But that's the engine, the game itself is pretty cool but is really just showcasing the engine's capabilities while not actually reaching them itself.

But anyway, for the same reason I do almost anything*, I made a video of lots of boxes flying around and stuff, note: it's a rendered one and in game framerates were absolutely unplayable, I had to wait several seconds for it to change just one frame at times.

It's quite a pretty sight and I'm pretty happy with the results, I can't wait for the day that good games start to use this kind of interactive physics (HL2 Episode 2 has visual physics but they're pre animated and you can't interact with them and making your own is very hard and there are some PhysX games that use a physics processing unit to render physics independently, they're this intense and interactive, but I said good games).

The song is Aberdeen City - Pretty Pet.

If you're interested in Crysis, there's a demo that is of the first level and it also includes the sandbox editor to make your own shizzle, look here for that and also look at the minimum/reccomended specs as it takes a mid range gaming PC to run it alone and a high - super duper whooper end PC to run it with good settings.

Yey massive post no one will read .

I guess the typing practice can compensate.
