I know I was slightly disapointed with how the Harry Poter books turned out, especially the last two. I felt the conclusion to the series was highly unrealistic, and just gave the readers want they wanted. I was wondering if anyone else felt the same way, and if you were the author how would you have made the series?

I would have at least gotten rid of the terrible, horrible, pathetic epilogue. :P Soooooooooo predictable!!!
Other than that, I don't think I'd change any plot lines. Except for maybe one of the twins dying. Just didn't seem to be a point to that. At all.
Highly unrealistic? The whole bloody series is highly unrealistic! I actually likes how it ended, except for that prologue.
I knew the moment I type "Highly Realistic" I was going to get that sort of reply. It's time for another reality check.
This is what I'd do - Release them earlier and not make the fans wait. :D
And that is all.
Can I be the first to make the "shoot myself before starting book #1" comment? Nah, just joshing. I love you all.

I honestly LOVED the series. I'll always love Harry Potter. I got the years 1-5 DVD suitcase thing for Christmas, it's my favorite Christmas present hehe.
But if I were JKR there's several things I would have done differently.
I would have kept Harry dead. Think of the epic wankapalooza.
