      Britain's Got Talent

Damn I wish I could watch this show! I keep catching clips of it and it looks so fun!

Here are some good older clips I've seen:

Here's the newest clip that I thought was really good:

I think the title is ironic, because having seen the program,it is abundantly clear that Britain doesn't have talent, but likes to cart a load of freaks in front of a camera for a good Saturday nights entertainment.

Wow, the little girl was amazing. At first I thought she was going to do bad and then I heard her and thought it was fake. I guess it was real so wow.

Yeah, pretty much everyone went apeshit about it when those two top clips go out. The first guy actually won the season that he was on.

In all honesty, it's nothing special. It's America's Got Talent, except overseas. Just because it's in Europe does not mean it's better than American reality television.
You do this every fucking time.
      No sweat.
      No tears.
      No guilt.
You do this every fucking time.

Im british as you know... and yeah this show is entertaining but its irritating because they only show like maybe 4 auditions in an hr show on saturday nights, the rest is padded out with a loada drivel from the judges, This season has been really boring compared to last years. I watched it tonight and found myself flicking channels after about 20 minutes in boredom.
It always makes me laugh that every act has a sob story about why they are there, grown men sayin stuff like " well i broke my leg when i was 3 and it ruined my life and winning this show would take away the memory" and of course everyone that auditions had a dying relative tell them its their dyin wish for them to win britains got talent.
OH and of course everyone has wanted to win this "all their life" "THIS IS ALL IVE EVER WANTED, THIS SHOW IS MY LIFE GOAL"........ even though this show has only existed for 2 years.
      ummm.....

It's where we keep our fail peoples. The ones with no possible future ahead of them.

If I'm going to feel guilty about watching a 'talent' show, it'll be the X-Factor.

Totally agree. These programs are so annoying. So shallow and drawn out.

Also the middle judge is so melodramatic and fake. Ugh.

Watched this show for the first time last week, when that dude was dancing, but other than him the rest of the show was pretty poor.

What was up your arse that day? Other than your head, of course .

I think there have been some brilliant performaces. Can't see the vids at the moment. The Michael Jackson guy and the Sikh were bloody amazing and very entertaining. And the contortionist !

I remember some kind of plates juggling or something performance by an Asian girl, she was really good... And one of the judges buzzed her just to see if that would startle her enough to screw up the act!! She didn't screw up, but later she started crying. Ugh, that pissed me off. I can't remember which judge that was, but that was cruel!

Equally could have been Piers Morgan. It's twisted that they have two 'honest', hard-talking judges.

You don't think they're honest, like, in the sense that it's scripted?

It is weird to have two. But what pisses me off though is seeing two male judges and one female judge (the eternally polite one) sitting in the middle in EVERY one of these talent show things... Britain's Got Talent, X Factor, American Idol, Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance... Jesus christ! What an overused formula.

And the female is whiny and always falls for the cute child trying his hardest. Bah.

I agree, it's formulaic. Possibly too much so. There's something nice about simple, predictable light TV though...bleh.

I doubt it's scripted. But they're definetly phony when it comes to provoking a reaction from the contestants. An example would be how every time someone with a sad story - be it dying parent, ruined marriage, whatever - they always ask the right questions and then act surprised when they find out.
They're there to make entertaining viewing more than actually finding a talent, afterall.

And the man whose entire act was to turn up in a trench coat, take off the coat and reveal he's wearing a thong was talent?

I admit there are some cases of talent, such as that actor-person a few weeks ago, but they exploit them so much for entertainment. The voice-over said something about how he couldn't admit his love of musical-theatre to his friends for fear of embarrassment. They play up the drama too much.
