Will smith ftw :). That should be good, I have really liked alot of his recent stuff, but hes always been great.
It looks hilarious, and I agree, he's been pumping out the hits recently.
Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to this one. :)
I think Will Smith is the only actor that could make a movie like that not be a complete disaster. I look forward to seeing it.
Will Smith is one of my favorite actors. He can be hilarious in comedies, and be great in other types of movies such as action, adventure, and a bit of horror.
I like how it parodies the current glut of superhero movies by having Will Smith play an anti-hero. Though why does he have to turn into a "good" guy?

I will see this with friends when it comes out.
This is definitely on my ever-growing short list. Looks hilarious! I love the bit in the trailer where he throws the whale back into the ocean...taking out a yacht with it. just imagine explaining that to your insurance rep. "A whale fell on it. Yes, fell. No, I'm not high. Yes, a whale. Of course I'm sure, it was a whale, for crying out loud!"
...fun stuff.
I don't know... the trailer didn't look that good.
Will Smith is very good (i.e. I, Robot/I Am Legend), but I don't know about him being lulzy.
this movie looks kinda cool, like that strange zohan movie with adam sandler
Yes, but I would still see it reguardless of how silly it looks, im silly
Holy! That movie looks awesome!
I'm not a very big Smith fan as I find his range is very limited. But this does look like a good one, and suits his character. I'll probably check it out.
Hey Will Smith is definately the 4th of July Movie guy. However I don't think he did anything last year on the 4th probably because they may have over-estimated Transformers and maybe also because he was already working on I am Legend. But the 4th of July Box office weekend is usually locked in for this guy. I guess he's a sure hit! You can't go wrong with Big Willie Style during the weekend of the 4th. Independence Day, Men In Black, Wild Wild West, I Robot. The movies speak for themselves.
Does Will Smith have a Hero Complex
I mean, he's always saving the world
I just saw don't mess with the Zohan and they played the Hancock trailer in the previews. It looks like it's going to be a good one. My favorite part from the trailer is when he's flying around and drinking, then lands in a car, and they shoot at him and break his liquor bottle, so he destroys their car. Don't mess with the Zohan was entertaining, I expected it to suck, but it turned out to be decent.
Hmm. Definitely not impressed. But I liked the whale scene! :D
Seems like there's a lot of crap out there this summer, like Zohan. I wonder if the Guru will do well tho... Timberlake is in it..
I'm guessing it does. Movie isn't out yet tho, is it? In any case, my expectations aren't high. Anyone else use rottentomatoes.com? I love that site.
I never took Will Smith seriously until I Am Legend... when I realised he was actually a great actor. So I'd probably see Hancock
And plus he's an actual actor. It's the red haired guy from A Knight's Tale.
Good actor, slightly limited range, and was the Fresh Prince.
Hancock looks like it may have a few funny-ish slapstick moments, and the odd smirk-worthy one-liner, but beyond that I doubt it'll be anything special.
I, Robot was enjoyable, while not groundbreaking. Didn't live up to Asimov by a long shot.
Alan Tudyk! Awesome. He's my favourite actor ever. Mostly for Firefly. Why did he have to die?! WHY?!
The thing with this movie is you go to watch it and have fun. It doesn't seem to take itself seriously so why should people argue whether it's going to be sill or not.
It was a good movie, fun anyway.
I liked it.
That whale scene at the end was hilarious. I wanna see it now.
I thought it was a pretty funny movie. Lots of moments made me laugh. I dont think the talked about the origins well enough, but for what it was intended to be it did its job. :D And....Fresh Prince rocks :P
looks like a shit movie to me, i hate all the American Hollywood processed movies. they display only one thing to me, that they are preying on people ignorance. to me all these movies are just like eye candy, they don't make you think, they don't make you ask questions about your self or about the movie. in fact they tell you not to think.
they take no time to get involved with character development or professional script writing, no real ideas are explored and it's not even possible to do a existentialist study of the film.
there is always plenty of unnecessary violence/sex scene/car chases that keeps the crowed happy which tends to make me disappointed because i would like to see a film that explores it idea very well.
this is just my opinion and I'm not imposing it on anyone, by all means watch and enjoy.
It looked better than it was. Honestly, it was kind of a snooze. Sure, it had some action sequences.. but other than that.. it felt tacked on and dry.
Will Smith acted his part well, but the script was terrible.
Will Smith is a sellout...Therefore he and everything atached to him is LAME!
LIES!!!! :bslap:
I'm a Fresh Price kid. I'm probably the ONLY member here that has seen every episode 5 to 10 times. I give you lines word for word. If you ever get to meet me, give me the Fresh Prince DVD Box sets for my Birthday or Xmas. I promise you, I WILL be happy:D
Bell air was good. But you know he sold out....All he does is blockbusters with lame storylines, bad writing, bad acting, and big explosions to appease the mindless masses...GG will smith, keep earing millions with your cookie cutter movies.
Just got back from the drive in...
Hancock/Get Smart
Hancock was great, the hospital scene, wow. It's so well done, I loved it.
