War Films

I'm surprised there wasn't already a thread about this. Every once in awhile I go into a phase where I want to watch a bunch of war movies. In this thread list off your favorite War Films or ones that you think a lot of people might not know about.

I'll start things off with a couple of classics

Does the Movie "Lord of War" count as a war film?

he's all facing moral quandaries and whatnot

Band of Brothers (although it's not really a war film foresay), is epic. Definatley better than most of these listed.

The ones I've seen and like are:

Lord Of War (might be one)
Schindler's List
300
Troy
Grave Of The Fireflies (I only kinda like this one)
Lawrence Of Arabia (I don't remember if this is really a war one or not)

No... foresay was accidental. Per se is proper. But just because I say "point in action" instead of "case in point" doesn't mean anything.

Just because "case in point" is a commonly used phrase, doesn't invalidate "point in action". They mean the same thing.

And you say "It's something I"ve seen AmazeO do before" makes it kind of seem like you think you're better. Which would be false. It's not my fault you are un-original and can't think of anything besides the most "common" thing to say.

:roll: woah lighten up man, you take things way too serious. This wasn't a post meant to belittle or offend you. It was meant to be taken in a jokingly way. I thought people, including yourself, would be able to see that. But apparently you are so uptight about anything anybody says about you that you blew it way out of proportion.

Oh and yeah you are totally right, saying that I've seen someone do something before means I think I am better than them. NO, it means that it is unusual and out of the ordinary. which I personally like. For instance I liked the whole point in action thing after I knew what you meant.

And as for being un-original, well maybe I am or maybe i'm not. I'm not gonna try to defend how original I am on a forum.

I'm not taking anything too seriously. I know you're not trying to offend me, don't worry about it man.

Two that haven't been mentioned that I enjoyed are Born on the Fourth of July and Jarhead.

I've mentioned this in another thread, but I liked Humphery Bogart in Sahara. I've yet to see Casablanca in full.
