      Fringe

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fringe_(TV_Series)

JJ Abram's new show, it's pretty badass. I can already tell it's going to be Lost-esque in that there's a lot of hidden information and whatnot.

The series deals with a research scientist named Walter Bishop (described as "Frankenstein mixed with Albert Einstein" and portrayed by John Noble), his son Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson), and a female FBI agent, Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv) who brings them back together. The show is described as a cross between The X-Files, Altered States, and The Twilight Zone.

I have to say, any show that has mad scientists synthesize LSD and ketamine to inject it into an FBI agent to have her go into a isolation chamber to force a shared dream with a coma patient is alright in my book.

I saw last nights episode, but I caught it when it was half way done. I didn't really get last nights episode, what was up with the guy on the table in that lab? His skin looked like clear plastic or something, I think that one guy injected him with some kind weird of chemicals? It looks like it's going to be bad ass though. So are the people that take the dead bodies (like the woman at the end of last nights episode asked how long that agent had been dead and the guy was like "5 hours" then she was like "take him in for questioning.") supposed to be bad guys? Is the entire show about catching these advanced terrorists?

I really suggest watching it on Fox.com or something like that, you really need the beginning to understand a lot of the episode, and it seems that it already introduced a lot about the rest of the series.

The guy on the table was Agent John Scott, he was in a chase and got exposed to the same chemicals that were on the plane but in a less concentrated way, so he was dying the same way the people on the plane did, only much slower.

The corporation called Massive Dynamic seems to be the main villain in the show. Massive Dynamic is a multi-billion-dollar corporation responsible for development and production in a variety of different areas. These include but are not limited to weapons testing, robotics, medical equipment and pharmaceuticals.

Ah, how many episodes have aired so far? I know it can't be a lot.. and what days and stuff does it come on?

That black guy that talked to that woman agent about all the cases of terrorism they've been doing, is he with the FBI? Or NSA? Or something like that?

EDIT: By the way, you may want to fix your links.

The first link in your first post is missing the ) at the end, and the two links in your second post have two http://'s.

I watched both of the episodes. I must say, it's like they got inside my head and robbed me of my originality.

The show is just like my mind. In the second episode and in previews of the third, the black dude babbles on about "The Pattern". I wrote an entire blog titled "The Pattern". The pattern to me, and there are parallels rest assured, is the mechanism which events in people's lives and history repeats itself over and over and over again. You can change the events of the pattern, but it will ultimately create another pattern by which you live your life. If you try to remain inconsistent, you will create a pattern out of being inconsistent.

That and all the content (extracting information from a corpse, advanced cybernetics, craaaazy ass diseases, killing to stay young, explosions, and telepathic communication) and plot sharply resemble something that I would think up.

      Quite frankly, I feel raped.

      It's wicked awesome.

Tonight's episode promises to be awesome...

Walter Bishop is being sent to the mental institution he was just released from to get information from another patient.

Needless to say it's gonna be intense. There's definitely gonna be some major regression to work through in this, and probably the next few, episodes.

I saw one episode that was lame, not even up to par with x-files which it was obviously copying, but not succeeding as it was lacking a lot of dynamics. Lucky for Fringe though, it has space.

I did see a pretty good episode though.

Fringe is tied with Chuck for my favorite show right now. Walter Bishop is a —ing AMAZING character. I mean, I love the guy. He's draining liquefied brain matter and talking about how badly he wants a cheesesteak. He's so distracted, yet so focused. He's also —ing hilarious. And Peter rocks.

      Hard.

      Rock hard.

Peter has some real oddball connections that make you really wonder sometimes. And this new development with Olivia in tonight's episode? Promises to be badass from my point of view. I especially love the 60-90 second commercial breaks. You get nearly ten more minutes of show!

Last night's episode really brought the plot together. And I love how the guy manipulated her with the lights!

Since all the fringe science featured in that show is "real", I was wondering if the manuscript from last night's episode might be real as well. I was going to do a search to see, but couldn't remember what it was called. Sounded like a good read.

      "Zerstorung durch Fortschritte der Technologie"

I doubt the manuscript is real. Probably based on a real one though.

Ok, so did Walter write the ZFT Manifesto?

Or... was it William Bell, his partner 30+ years ago and the founder and CEO of Massive Dynamic?
A particular quote that comes to mind is from Nina Sharp(the COO of Massive Dynamic)
"We've reached a point where science and technology have advanced at an exponential rate for so long... that it may be far beyond our ability to regulate and control it."
      Sounds very ZFT-esque to me.

"We think we understand reality, but our universe is only one of many. The unknown truth is that the way to travel between them has already been discovered by beings like us, but whose history is slightly ahead of our own. The negative aspects of such visitations will be irreversible both to our world and to theirs. It will begin with a series of unnatural occurrences, difficult to notice at first, but growing not unlike a cancer until a simple fact becomes undeniable: only one world will survive. And it will be either us...or them."

IS THE OBSERVER ONE OF THESE PEOPLE?!

In last night's episode, when the first guy became infected with that thing were all openings in your body close up, did any of you see the observer? Or was it just me

Yeah, the observer is the one who gave him the infected 2 dollar bill. What's up with that? I thought he was just supposed to observe, not get involved.

Season premiere Thursday! It takes the sting out of True Blood being gone for a while.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

It's back on? I caught about six of the episodes or so, but I need to back and watch the others. I liked what I saw.

God bless Hulu. I just hope it's not on a delayed schedule.
I get into town at least once a week and watch all my shows in the RV. Fringe is one of my favorites.

Fringe is one of those shows where I only caught a couple of episodes, last season, but I can already tell it's going to be awesome. Gotta get caught up on it.

Heroes is a terrible show--both the writing and the majority of the acting are excrement. I cut it all the slack I could, but the 'flashbacks at camp' episode last season was the final straw. Heroes is dead to me.

O and Ame, you should definitely get caught up on Fringe, as a lot happened toward the end of last season.

meh, its not that bad. The fact they have super powers and the special effects make up for bad acting/storytelling anyway. Seriously, you could put super powers and awesome special effects into the worst of shows and I'd watch it thinking its the best thing since sliced bread.

bah on Hulu lol. I can't watch the new eps until the 18th. Of course, that's only 2 days away, but I really missed seeing it yesterday.
I did get caught up on Warehouse 13 though, as well as most of America's Got Talent and Defying Gravity
