I heard about its release. Haven't heard any of the new songs though. I kinda exceeded my download limit- for over 3GB, so I don't wanna stream or download it. Yet. lol
I like this band, love the song Anthem (We Are the Fire). I'm amazed how the lead singer became so successful so young. I think it's pretty rare for metal and rock genre.
Thanks to this band and Bullet I really got into metalcore

Believe it or not, those 2 bands are my favorite bands if i had to pick.
Definitely on influence both bands influence my music, but i've been a bigger fan of Trivium until they came out with The Crusade, the cd with Anthem on it. Shogun is what SHOULD have came out after Ascendancy, THEN The Crusade. Now, i'd say it's a tie between Trivium and BFMV...like i said,
if you're a fan of Trivium, I HIGHLY recommend it. lol

      The crusade .vs. Shogun

Personally, when I heard the crusade, I DID NOT like it. I thought it was cheesy, bad metal.

But when I heard about Shogun, in Trivium interviews, they claimed they were going for a new sound . I always give bands a second chance if they're doing this, and god it's good

do you mean you've listened to it?
I wasnt too big of a fan of The Crusade, i was rather disappointed to be honest.
SHOGUN is more melodic then Ascendancy, but heavier then The Crusade with
      screaming on every track.

I personally preferred The Crusade over it.

I definitely prefer Shogun. The Crusade was a total mockery of Metallica and though i do like alot of the songs on the cd, Shogun is way way better in my opinion. I definitely recommend it

yer, listening to it now. Its pretty good. I'm suprised, most metalheads really hate trivium, I'm sure somebody will comment on how much they hated it soon enough.

It sounds pretty good, but I still prefer Ascendancy.

I prefer Ember to Inferno, then Ascendancy.
