Let's talk about Final Fantasy games.

Favorite FF game so far? I've only played one of them and that was FF12. I liked it, I'm ready for 13, or whichever is coming out next!

      I agree with Hypernova, unusually.

9 IN my opinion is best, probably due to music and Kuja.

However 8 I find more epc as far as landscape and art goes.

7 never really took me, except for the fuckwin that is Vincent and Sephiroth.

(This whole topic is satryical. I get it. Make R/S more topical or you'll got he other extreme. Fair enouhg. I'll play.)

Anyone else been able to play the original? I never got to finish it but I actually found it very refreshing.

One that looked really unnapealing was 10-2. You use your awsome hooker dance skills to stun them?

      What?!?

Wasn't there one that was like a first person shooter? I saw my friend playing it once, it looked gay to me. Didn't really have a RPG feel to it!

      Dirge of Cerberus, I presume.

      ...I don't know why I answered that, I know nothing of video games. ;_;

Yeah, it was called Dirge of Cerberus. It got killed in Gamerscores and by Critics.

Edit: Didn't realize Si*dre* was posting as I was.

I never claimed that I adhere to it being a bad game. I've never played it. But even if it was the best game ever with the coolest character ever it doesn't change the fact that gamers and critics tore it to shreds.

I liked DOC, but the game was too short. Less than a week, and you've already beaten it.

Out of the real FF games, VII is my favorite, but I'd still play 8, 9, or X any day.

      VII was my favorite.

      *moved to Entertainment, btw*

And, let's put this kind of stuff where it belongs. Next time, I'll just lock the (whatever) thread, since it was made with the apparent foreknowledge that it shouldn't be in R/S in the first place.

      Thanks.

6 of course. Kefka is far more deserving of recognition for spectacular villainry than that prat Sephiroth.

FF9 (because it actually had 2player during fights)
      FF10
      FF11 (Mithras ftw!)

I've played almost all of the games 1 - 12. Excepting 11, sadly.

I haven't beaten the one with shadow, I think that was # 4 or so, I just lost my game data and never looked back.

      I may not have played 1, or 5, I can't recall, but 2 3 4 6 7 8 9 10 and 12 are definate play and completion.

My favorite? Number 8 by far. Although some things (like how much of a pussy squal was as a child and some of the RIDICULOUS plot lines, Irvine, Selphie, Zell? Really? But I guess you could say that was because of the guiding hands of the headmaster and his bitch) were a little silly.

7 was ridiculously boring, number 9 lacked any feeling imo.

Wow you must be really young? Or missed out for years..

Best game is IV(II originally in America) With Cecil on the Super Nintendo.
      VI is also superb.
Everyone loves FF7 of course. Which is good.

With all due respect no one should be allowed to talk about FF games without playing 7.

Then you can see how much the newer games have fallen. Teehee.

      True, so true. Both points.

Best one? Can't decide, really >_>. I think I'll vote for VIII, the first one I ever played.

Oh, and of course kudo's to Nobuo Uemastsu, my hero ^_^ =D lol

The best was the first disc of VIII. VIII is generally underrated because it was misfortunate enough to come after VII.

The general consensus for people who have played them all is that the golden ages are 6-9. If you have not played those 4, or at least most of them, you are seriously missing out and must go buy them now.

I've played I, II, X, X-2, and XII. I didn't have Playstation so I missed out on the 6-9 or wherever they started going on PS. My favourite out of the ones I've played is probably X, the storyline was just so captivating, as were the characters.

XII is probably my least favourite, because it's so damn hard.... I gave up after awhile when I got to this place where an alarm is just blaring for like thirty minutes while endless amounts of soldiers that are like two hit kills to me just keep coming and coming.... I'll get back to it eventually, but these games are like a commitment. You have to have the time to actually play through them....

X is the most overrated and XII the most underrated.

In X one thing that completely blew the experience was the crappy voice acting, seriously.

VII for me is the best one, VIII and XII come next, then X and IX.

I also played I and II but they're obviously not on the same level as the more recent games, although the whole time loop with the final boss in final fantasy I was really cool.

I can't remember, what was the storyline for 6?

OMG 7 was not that amazing. It was ok I guess.

Number 8 rocked over all the others. Squal to the rescue.

Oh yeah I remember now, Terra and shadow and them. I never completed that one.
