The Lion King Was One of the Best Movies of it's Generation

Heck, it's one of my favorite movies period! I just wanted to get that off my chest.

      What are your favorite cartoons?

I have to agree with you, Lion King is one of my all time favorite movies, I use to sing all the songs all the time when I was little. I also really liked Mulan.

As for other cartoons...those are mostly animes now, but I still have a soft spot for transformers and voltron (which would technically be an anime too, but they changed so much for the american version) fairly odd parents (more adult humor than you think), and Clone High!

The lion king was pretty good actually looking back. It's weird that all animated movies now a days are based on comedy, and that wasn't really the case back when I was younger. Some of the cartoon movies I used to watch I can't really rememeber what they were called , I liked a movie by the name of the black cauldron, and the rescuers (I liked it's dark mood, you don't get that ever in cartoons today) basically anything that wasn't kiddie and had a good story, with some mature elements.

Oh dang forgot one of my favorites, The Halloween Tree, was just awesome.

The Halloween Tree was pretty awesome.

Hercules was my favourite, because it had some pretty awesome fights back in the day. Aladdin was great too.

Yeah, the Black Cauldron is actually based on a book series with one of the books of the same name.

The Lion King is one of the best movies of all time.

As far as Disney movies go, I was a big fan of Aladdin, too.

I love the Lion King. There's some quality dialogue in there.

I also loved Aladdin. I've got a number of songs from that movie memorized.

I like the Mulan music the best, personally.

My friends and I will sometimes burst out the lines from the song 'I'll Make a Man out of you' at perfect moments.

      A Nightmare Before Christmas.

I liked it when it first came out, then for some reason the fucking movie shot off like a rocket a few years ago becoming super popular.

Toy Story was kick ass too.

The Lion King kicks ass. Jeremy Irons + James Earl Jones = Awesomeness.

The Black Cauldron was great too. The Lion King just plain rules though.

My parents boycotted Disney movies until I was about 17, so I didn't have much experience with them.

The Lion King is one of the best Disney movies period. Amazing voice acting and a darker story than is custom for disney, not to mention Hans Zimmer's excellent score really make it stand out for me.

The irony is that the team who worked on the LK were the "B team" and Disney expected Pocho...whaterver to be the best selling by far.

Man, fuck that site. It manages to be anti-gay, racist, and anti-semitic all at the same time. Good comedy though.

Sometimes I wonder if these things are real.

Sometimes I think some Christian's just look for the supposed evil in things that no-one else suspects to be immoral jsut for attention and to have something to do...

My sister hasn't been able to go to her best friend's birthday party for the past 4 years because she was born on 10/30 and she always has Halloween themed parties or at haunted houses and stuff.

This year it's at the Haunted Botanical Gardens.

I've been there. All they do is add cobwebs and shit to the scenery, but the word "haunted" is involved so she's not allowed to go.

      I fucking hate evangelical fundamentalists.

Ah yes, how I miss the era when all animated movies weren't two-second poorly-written CGI jobs.
