Thread: For the gamers: COD5 or GoW2?

Neither, cause I'm flat broke and still can't find a job

Call of duty 5.. is complete crap, i was in the beta but i couldn't play it long because it was sooo crap, it's like 4, with worse graphics and worse gameplay. Thank god that Infinity Ward is taking back the next game, Gears of War 2 all the way!

Btw in the beta there was lag and glitches like you wouldn't believe, and vehicles aren't as fun as you would think.

CoD5 is being made by Treyarch.

Treyarch made Call of Duty 3, which sucked.

They also made Quantam of Solace, which has gotten shitty reviews.

Neither...because I'll be playing Left 4 Dead.

I am sure that GOW2's single player story will be much much much better than COD5's, but as far as multi player goes I would vote the complete opposite and thats why I voted for COD5 .COD5 uses the same engine as COD4, but it was completely apparent to me that when playing it, the graphics were much better, the rythem was much better, and the weapons added more layers. I love COD5 and I am only able to play with its 3 multiplayer levels. I cant wait till the whole thing comes out. It only adds upon the franchise. The dogs are a fun, fun feature, and so are the new perks and vehicles, and explosives laying around. It just adds so many more elements to the settings and makes it that much more of a challenge. Graphics are amazing, game play is amazing.

You do realize COD5 is exactly the same as 4 right? The fact it's made by treyarch doesn't mean anything this time around, totally different from 3. The graphics are the same, the gameplay, the online, like everything is exactly the same as COD4, and I loved COD4, so I'm getting COD5. Its just WWII, big effing whoop.

You do know what a beta is right? By the way, the actual build has enhanced COD4 graphics so....

LOL. I have actually been playing the COD5 beta non-stop. Its very addictive, but I have a hard time playing with people I like. Everyone on my team is constantly dying too much as they rush in like complete noobs. I happened to be pretty good at the game from the start.

I can't imagine playing a game like this on a PC. It requires all those buttons and maneuvers that the 360 paddle can give you.

I just discovered the sniper gun today. What a blast.

Na, there wasn't a beta for single player and the fact that the multiplayer beta was well, a beta, doesn't mean it was going to be "the same". I think you just made yourself look retarded, though no one really cares.

ive played COD5, and it wasnt that great imo.
of course, ive played gears of war (1) and it was amazing, chainsaw guns, i just cant get over that... so if the second is anything like the first, then im voting GoW2.

COD5's single player was amazing. Its literally recreating WW2. Half bodies will be dragging themselves. American soldiers will be executing enemies in horrible fashions, bodies will be hanging from trees. Planes will be crashing left and right as giant explosions go off every other second in random places. The set pieces rival those of GOW2. It portrays WW2 very well and you will realize just how archaic it was when you play this game (attack dogs, flame throwers, bayonets, techniques, trenches, caves, traps)

No other game has given you the feeling of: holly crap...I am in the middle of a war!

I played a bit of Gears 2 the other day. It was alright.

Felt very similar to Gears 1 though.

I plan on getting GOW2, but I will be praying that the multiplayer is actually good this time around. I couldn't stand the original's multiplayer. Can anyone confirm this?

I don't really like the normal mode with squad vs squad, but they do have an interesting game mode called Horde. In that mode, you fight 50 waves of locust which get increasingly harder to kill. I've only made it to 36 with an extremely cooperative team.
