Yeahhh, had to write a few essays on that for my English lit GCSE. Got one of the five highest marks in the country. |

Has anyone read this book? I just read it lately, it has to be most likely one of my favorite books, it's so emotional and has so many layers to it. |

The ending reminded me of Old Yeller. |

I read it back in High School. Don't remember much of it, really, besides what happens in the ending. |

naturals are what we call people who did all the right things accidentally
Is that the book where that retarded guy is accused of killing a little girl, so he blows his brains out? |
|
Uh, no it's the story of a man who is mentally challenged (Lennie) and a man who becomes his caretaker (George) and after Lennie accidentally murders a woman, because he has the mind of a child but is EXTREMELY strong, George realizes he can no longer protect lenny from society and the law and kills Lennie. |

I just finished watching the movie. It was great, except I didn't like the ending. It seemed emotionless. |

I'm surprised it could draw me in so well through so few words, though; normally the book needs to be longer to really hit home. Steinbeck is a wonderful author. |
