The Curuious Case of Benjamin Button; In Theatres December 28, 2008

Full Snyopsis:"I was born under unusual circumstances." And so begins 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,' adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards: a man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story, set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918 to the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man's life can be. Directed by David Fincher and starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett with Taraji P. Henson, Tilda Swinton, Jason Flemyng, Elias Koteas and Julia Ormond, Benjamin Button is a grand tale of a not-so-ordinary man and the people and places he discovers along the way, the loves he finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.

      Trailer:

Supposedly a very very very good movie.

I kind of liked Forest Gump, so I think I might get a little trip or buzz from this kind of movie.

I kind of have a feeling it's going to be one of those critically acclaimed movies that are reviewed as "One of the best films of all time!", yet no one goes to see it, and eventually when I happen to see it on television, will think it is shit.

Yeah, its going to be mediocre, but the whole age thing sounds like a trip in this movie, and that's what makes me want to see it.

Jesus christ you still like brad pit? He is like 40 years old! I'm glad he has his hair back, that was annoying, what was he in chemo in secret?

And he smokes REAL bad. He smells horrible, it is like gagging on a cigar.

I know because he came to my county a while back to do a scene for "the tree of life" where it was like a flash back scene or something and they had a "heaven" scene at the beach.

Why the hell is it always the beach for heaven? My version of heaven would be INSIDE lolz. Or at least somewhere that doesn't smell like the beach.

Nature sucks, that is why humans built houses and buildings to do ALL of their important things in.

It depends what you find important. I find it more important to live like a caveman on a beach maybe, and you prefer doing every day tasks that make you feel prosperous among a billion others who are doing the exact things. I like it machines and stuff, but ultimately they are just distractions.

I saw this a little while ago. I'm glad I downloaded a copy and not saw it at the cinemas... i kept thinking of whether or not i should turn it off and watch something else but i decided to sit it out.... for over 2 fkn hours! can't believe how long this movie is! I really hated the ending... like come on... i can believe a kid being born old and as he gets older in life starts to look less old... but turning into a baby again is just stupid.

This movie is really good. It poses questions on loss and the nature of life. Ultimately we all go through this thing alone, which what makes those connections and moments we have with people so important.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
