I did it on Roy, the Ghoul guy.
And I haven't really cared much time it took to level up, but I know that completing quests gets you 300 xp and that gets you far up. Otherwise, just don't use Fast Travel and go dive some dungeons and vaults and what not. Scavenge!

player.agerace -1 makes your char into a child.
But I use a mod called Enhanced Children v1.1 to do it, because it gets rid of "Children can't use that" and some other bugs.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and player.setscale 0.8 I think it is
And, I did something pretty cool that fucked up my game on my little girl char.
I went to Tranquility Lane. As I expected, that had to fuck up SOMETHING.
When I came out, the first thing I noticed; my char had reverted.

And every time I switch to another character, I would save 2 or 3 times, so I have 3 seperate files for the same save. That way, if I somehow majorly fuckity fuckitall up, there will most likely be atleast one working save with that character :V
Just save alot. I learned this early, saved me tons of "omg I've been playing for 2 hours straight without saving and now I died/game crashed".

I wish they would add save-file folders, so I could have save folders for each character, instead of having them laying about in a big pie of Savefiles for everyone.
I had like 470 saves in Oblivion. In fallout, I've taken care and trimmed them now and then, since I play multiple characters, and I want to be able to find the save for one character easily xP
yea but you know what was really ironic about what happened, i had only just deleted all my other save games because it was getting too messy, that was about 1 minute before mine fucked up.:shock:

+ I found Fort Independence, that is just South West of Tenpenny Tower, is a great place to "make money". Let's just say that Laser Rifles and Power Armor sells for a lot!
+ Also, there are some good places to make money by trading in items for money:
- Walter in Megaton: After fixing up some pipes, he will buy Scrap metal from you for 10 caps a piece. Cheap, but it's really easy to find scrap metal (ie. Robco building).
- Brotherhood Scribe Yearling at Arlington Library; this is south of the Citadel (or quite a ways south of Grayditch and East of Nuka-Cola Plant). She will pay you 100 caps for every pre-war book you find.
- Reilly; after doing the Reilly's Rangers quest that is started near the National Archives by hearing the radio signal, you can make 30caps per location found via her geomapper module. The problem with this is that the Reilly's Rangers quest is relatively hard.
- Murphy; ghoul by the Northwest Seneca Station; you will bump into him while doing the Family Ties quest for Arefu. The problem here is that he buys Sugar Bombs off you for a little too cheap considering how hard these are to come by. I have never depended on this guy for money, but it might be because I have not found many sugar bombs..
The overall best way to make money is simply by doing quests. Doing Moira's Wasteland quest should set you up nicely.
Also, don't underestimate how much money the Repair skill can get you - the better an item is, the more it's worth!

what level of repair do you need to have, i think mine is like 40 and i still cant even repair anything.
Honestly, repair is one the skills I immediately up the highest next to whatever main weapons you are using (eg. repair/small guns). It is good to have at 40 but you will certainly notice yourself getting richer with it above 60. This is especially all the more effective with higher bartering skills.Quote:

You need other items to repair the same item.
So, for example;
- To repair an Assault Rifle, you need at least 2 rifles. You then choose to repair one and select the other the one. The idea is you are using the parts of the other one to repair the one.
- Pick up Raider's armor and you can repair all of them together to get one valuable piece of raider armor.
Think of it as joining items together to make them stronger.
Also, some items are named differently but are repaired by other similar items. For example, the Lincoln repeater gun you get from the national museum of history can be repaired by hunting rifles. Similarly, Outcast power armor can be repaired with Enclave power armor. And so on.

oh right i see, ive gone and done something incredibly stupid then, i sold a 10mm pistol, i have a broken 10mm silenced pistol, i could have used the normal one to repair it, i know that i could have because it came up, but i disint have a good enough repair skill at the time. also, i had like 4 hunting rifles, i sold them all, i had 2 32.pistols and tons more multiple weapons. what an idiot i am.
