Slumdog Millionaire
Probably my favorite movie this year. I can't compare it with movies like MILK, and Let The Right One In, but I certainly thought it was the freshest thing to hit theaters.
Its story is built upon events that come right out of left field, but are things that are very common in India. I laughed, and I cried.
The Child actors were actual kids living in India's slums too, so it was very authentic and the message of the movie is so powerful and beautiful and even funny and sad at the same time, that its just hard to pump out a better film than this.

I very much admire Danny Boyle's work - especially with Sunshine - so I had high expectations for his latest film. Overall it didn't disappoint. It was very moving, clever and interesting. People say it's cheesy, but I really didn't get that while I was watching it. Get over yourself and enjoy it as a good peice of filmmaking.
The best thing about Danny Boyle is that he has such original ideas, and I think this film continues that trend.

yeah, this had to be the most entertaining, and enjoyable/fun movie to watch this past year (hands down).
It sort of blows my mind how someone could make such a perfect film with all these qualities that just...gosh, I don't even know. And the characters are so damn good and amazing looking.
