      Is it ridiculous? I know playing through the demo, it was like good ol' F.E.A.R. 1, but then at the end, a random Mech battle came out of nowhere, and it completely killed the mood for me....

      You really should read all the intel pieces, they are your main story. Also, there's 14. Look at the achievements, man.

      Compare it to your experience with fear 1.
      I thought it was better than F.E.A.R 1. More scares, better atmosphere, better graphics.. etc etc etc.

      You're in a mech twice in the game. About 15 minutes total playtime. Also you man an APC turret twice, about 5 minutes total. Otherwise it's completely like old school F.E.A.R action. But is it ridiculous? Yes, the ending is fucking retarded.
