Hulk vs. Juggernaut

So who would win in a fight? Here's some information on the characters' powers and abilities:

Hulk

The Hulk possesses the potential for near-limitless physical strength depending directly on his emotional state, particularly his anger. His durability, healing, and endurance also increase in proportion to his temper. The Hulk is resistant to most forms of injury or damage. The extent varies between interpretations, but he has withstood the equivalent of inner solar temperatures, nuclear explosions, and planet-splitting impacts. He has been shown to have both regenerative and adaptive healing abilities, including growing tissues to allow him to breathe underwater, surviving unprotected in space for extended periods (yet still eventually needing to breathe), and when injured, healing from most wounds within seconds. His powerful legs allow him to leap into lower Earth orbit or across continents, and he has displayed sufficient superhuman speed to match Thor, or the Sentry.

Juggernaut

Juggernaut is a magical avatar of the supernatural entity Cyttorak; he gained superhuman powers through the transference of mystical energies from Cyttorak via a magical gemstone, the Ruby of Cyttorak. The ruby bonds to his soul and alters his being, a scale of power rivaling that of Thor, the Hulk, and the Thing. In an incredibly weakened state, he has been strong enough to rip off and wield the entire corners of buildings as giant weapons. Besides giving him superhuman strength, the mystical energy of Cyttorak grants the Juggernaut completely inexhaustible stamina, and the ability to survive without food, water or oxygen. He possesses tremendous durability, and can further protect himself through a practically indestructible force-field. The Juggernaut has the mystical attribute of being physically unstoppable: Once in motion, virtually no obstacle or force is able to impede his movement.

I'm going with Hulk. I believe that, if mad enough, he can top Juggernauts power max - but that does leave Juggs's stamina, which could make things tough for the Hulk.

But then, being on the verge of defeat, I'm sure Hulk would get even madder and regain more strength and stamina.

Vicious cycle. Heh. I vote Hulk, though.

Yeah, but there is a level to the Hulk's anger level.

Juggy could hurl the Hulk into space where he would eventually run out of oxygen and die. Jugg could hold onto Hulk with a death grip so that Hulk could not make his way back to Earth. The he could just wait for him to suffocate. Also, the Hulk relies on food and water to survive, which Jugg could make sure he doesn't get. Hulk's stamina would eventually wear down as well and he would be weakened. His weakness would also affect his anger level, since it takes energy to be extremely angry.

If Hulk did manage to get so angry that his strength surpassed Jugg's, then Jugg could just use his practically indestructible force-field and wait for Hulk to wear himself down and/or lower his anger level.

I don't know that Hulk's stamina would actually wear down. Not only would he likely get stronger, as the fight went on, but he has amazing regenerative properties. His muscle fibers would continue to heal themselves, and he could, conceivably, go on forever.

It doesn't take energy to get angry. It takes energy to project that anger. With Hulk, it is getting angry that gives him the energy. You're right about the food, water and Space thing, but it leave the problem of Juggernaut actually being able to exploit those weaknesses, in battle.

Yeah, that's true.

But how would Hulk be able to defeat Jugg? Even with the anger level, I think they're still pretty well matched as far as strength goes, but Hulk is probably a tad stronger with the "roid rage" in effect. They're both about the same durability wise, and they both have great stamina (Hulk nearly inexhaustible, Jugg completely inexhaustible). I don't see how Hulk would be able to destroy Jugg when thet're so evenly matched. Even if Hulk starts beating up Jugg, then Jugg can always hide in his little force-field.

All Hulk has to do is send Jug into one of those anti-mutant room things from Xmen...then he's screwed.

Juggernaut isn't a mutant. And besides, you can't just send him anywhere. Jugg can walk in the opposite direction and Hulk wouldn't be able to stop him because, "Once in motion, virtually no obstacle or force is able to impede his movement." With Hulk at full power, he might be able to slow him down a little bit, but not stop him completely, and certainly not turn him in the other direction.

Lets say we're talking about a fully powered hulk and a fully powered Juggernaut. It would be a helluva fight, but the planet would be destroyed in process giving juggernaut the upper hand when theres no more air to breath. We will never see cain channel the full power of Cyttorak, because he's not that evil. And hulk can only get so mad before his madness consumes him.

Comic book wise..juggernaut as well. Every time they've fought in the comics, hulk can't win win unless Juggs is in a weakened state, or he gets help.

Hulk gets his power from science...Juggernaut gets his power from an elder God. Magic owns.

oh....and I wish that the Thing would try to break a fight like this up, and get killed in the process....She-Hulk could take his spot...and thats all i can think of.

That's not entirely true.

I believe that the Hulk was, in fact, the only force to ever actually stop Juggernaut. However, he was using celestial technology to do it (World War Hulk). So, it depends on what version of which character we are talking about. If we are talking about the classic Hulk only, then you're right, he wouldn't be able to stop Juggs.

He was able to defeat him in a battle by tricking him into running into a lake. How that won the fight, considering Juggs' abilities, I'm not sure, but it at least won a battle with him. (I'll have to find details on the issue, if you want me to.) Other than such a technicality, though, I really don't know. Given their individual abilities, I think they could likely wage a war that lasts for eternity, but if I had to pick one, I think Hulk's regeneration and ability to grow progressively stronger would be a deciding factor. If Juggernaut's physical resistance has even the smallest degree of imperfection, it's likely that Hulk would eventually grow to a level of strength that was able to surpass it - in which case Hulk would be able to crush him.

The Hulk's level of strength is mostly determined by his anger level. However, he can only get so angry, and that's it. When Hulk is at his angriest, that's his full power, and he can't go over it. At full power, Hulk is a little bit stronger that Jugg. But Jugg is so durable that his punches would still not do that much damage, vice versa, Jugg's punches don't do much damage to Hulk due to his regeneration.

I don't really know any special moves that Hulk has, but I know that Jugg has the skull-crusher move that is extremely powerful, fast, virtually unstoppable, and Jugg is also pretty much invincible while performing it. He would be able to continuously use this move because of his inexhaustible stamina. Whatever moves that Hulk could use against Jugg could be blocked by his nearly impenetrable force field (If it can block Thor's "God Blast", I'm sure it can block anything the Hulk is capable of).
