      Sims 3

Im getting it baby. Because it looks better than the first and second mixed. Plus I have been playing it since I was really young. So im a big pro at the game. Anyone going to get it? It's due next week on Tuesday.

It's pretty fun. The open world addition is pretty nice, and there's no load screens except for the opening title anymore, which is great, because they used to take so damn long when you started adding on the expansion packs.

I know. Plus i've been wanting to customize our vehicles in such since Busting Out and it's always been my dream to do that. I think Maxis is really doing good. Can't wait. Going to get the preorder done in like half an hour.

Can you all explain to me its gameplay? how is it different from the very FIRST sim pc games that came out? Can you really just let everyone run into the town and let them live their own lives and manipulate them? How does this game differ from the rest?

There is no loading, more customization options, a traits system, a lifetime goal, and many more.

Weren't 1 and 2 'busy' enough? I'm waiting on the next good city builder.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

Yeah, I put my hat in the ring for that beta as well, but no response.

I don't even care if people think the Sims is for girls, I LOVE it.

Starry starry night, paint your pallet blue and gray,
Look out on a summers day,
with eyes that know the darkness of my soul.

The original "The Sims" was released in 2000. So, how old were you when you started playing it? "really young?" Take me for instance. I'm 18. I was 9 when this first came out. That's not like, really young. really young is like 5 or 6.

Also, lols on "i'm kind of a legend at this game".

      LOL
You do this every fucking time.
      No sweat.
      No tears.
      No guilt.
You do this every fucking time.

I've been playing it for about a week and a half now. Yar har.

Its excellent. It's missing certain features that I'd prefer were there, but overall it's an amazing experience.

I'm pissed at EA though, more than ever for the fact that they left out specific content (some essential to completing certain challenges that the game gives you) and require that you actually BUY it from their store using "Sim Points." Which, they themselves cost $$$.

Spoiler for useless nonsense about why I like the Sims:

Please, tell me, what joy can be found beyond the story mode in Sims Three? Is there anything beyond what the original has?

They have objectives or 'challenges' for skills now, which give you little bonus attributes that make life a little easier. You earn points for fulfilling wishes and lifetime goals, which can be used to buy new kinds of traits to help you out. Your Sims each have traits that can positively, or negatively, affect them which gives them more of a personality and makes them unique from other sims.

Opportunities pop up every once and a while that give certain rewards. They're like little quests to fulfill. Like catch a fish and bring it to this person, make dinner for that person, raise this skill, etc.

You can choose whether to work hard, slack off, meet and chat with co-workers, or suck up to your boss at work.

Little in terms of actual neighbourhood story and objectives so far, but there is another town available for free, but requires registration of The Sims 3 to download which I can't do as my copy is pirated.

SIMS has found a place of favor with me once again. I couldn't get the original SIMS or a SIMS 2 game to install on my Vista. They kept crashing and it made me so angry that the last time I played SIMS is when SIMS 2 FIRST came out.

I wanted to buy then new game, but with my history of failures I was afraid to spend $50. on something that might now work. So I bought SIMS2 Deluxe and it actually works and I'm very optimistic now. My C drive only has 16.3 GB memory left out of 232 GB lol, so I'll probably have to be uninstalling a lot of other things before I try to get any more games.
Dumping my cookies and temp files would probably help too

Does anyone know what it means when the toon has a lock over their head when they're upset?

Who's giving the first review of #3? I'm sure someone has bought it by now
