      *~Drag Me to Hell~*

Has anyone seen this? I expect it will be a great way to kill an hour or two.

"A loan officer ordered to evict an old woman from her home finds herself the recipient of a supernatural curse, which turns her life into a living hell. Desperate, she turns to a seer to try and save her soul, while evil forces work to push her to a breaking point. "

It's directed by Sam Raimi, same guy who did the Evil Dead movies. This, more than anything, makes me want to give it a shot. And I don't watch horror movies.

      reviews have been good.

basic review is that it's a very simple horror movie, straight to the point with the sudden appearances and shrieking of the demons.

definitely want to take a girl to this one, haha

Sam Raimi is the main reason that I want to see this as well. The Evil Dead movies are some of my all time favorites.

For the same reason the two of you have noted I wanted to watch this movie as well. So I did. I was severely let down. Aside from one good point in the movie, I felt like the movie was...cliche? I suppose that has to be the word to use.

I won't post any spoilers, but after you watch it see if you don't agree with me that almost every theme thrown out is tired and expected.

For me, this movie was a very poor movie. It wasn't horrible, but it felt like someone just strung together the plot of older horror movies and was very very lazy.

It isn't on the list of horrible movies that no one should ever watch, but it isn't on the list of movies that everyone should watch either, at least this is my opinion. It wasn't scary, and it wasn't comical. Well, aside from one part. It was entertaining, I mean, I didn't feel the need to walk away from it, but it wasn't what I had hoped for.
