The Sixth Sense YES that was brilliant
Signs scared the shit out of me two, and i think it's certificate is only 12!
The Happening, I thought that was an on the edge of your seat film, because you can't see or fight the killer. The deaths are quite gruesome, makes you go cold for some scenes. However, the overall idea the director puts accross is definately thought provoking

If he can make something of The Last Airbender and get the full series produced, I'll be impressed.

I didn't even know it was a series (apparently there are 26 in all, not counting shabby latter-day remakes). Great lazy-afternoon samurai flicks.

I remember watching the first one a long time ago. I didn't know it was a series either...very interesting.

Also, I watched the Matrix. Visually and audibly, it's possibly my favorite movie. I still got goosebumps when I saw Trinity's bullet-time kick near the opening and the way the audio syncs up with it is just amazing.

      what dreams may come
and dreamscape came in the mail.

Freaking enjoyed the hell out of both. What dreams may come was visually awesome, and I liked the plot.

Dreamscape had a enjoyable plot, graphics where a little humorous, but pretty good graphics for a 26 year old movie.

The Men Who Stare at Goats was probably the greatest movie ever.

      Dead Snow.

A Russian zombie movie with Subtitles. Not just zombies, nazi zombies! It was surprisingly good, especially the later part of the movie when the zombies were rampaging.

I saw Duel, Steven Spielberg's first feature length film, which originally aired on television. This was a very interesting movie because it was almost like a silent film. So much revolves around the main character's psychological anxiety as he is being chased on empty country roads by a mysterious man in a tanker truck for no apparent reason. The story by Richard Matheson provides a great premise, reminiscent of a Twilight Zone episode, but Spielberg's visual storytelling is what makes it suspenseful and keeps you interested in the main character's plight. Very good early effort from Spielberg. 8/10

Zach and Miri make a porno.

I actually enjoyed it. It was cute

and last night, with a friend, we very drunkenly watched

      'The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus'.

I'll have to watch this one again, when I don't see all the characters double.

Also, I don't remember everything and might have fallen asleep at the end.

Last night I rewatched I am Legend for the billionth time. Will Smith is awesome.

The most recent movie I saw in terms of release was 2012. Sure, there were some nice visuals, but that movie was lacking in everything else. I was really annoyed at the fact that they kept finding ways to break the laws of physics. Not to mention the plot followed every other crappy scifi movie ever.

Ninja Assassin - Just fucking top-notch ninja badassery.

Astro Boy (remake) - Pretty good. I really liked it.

Clash of the Titans (remake) - Much better than I thought it would be, even if a bit anti-climactic.

Planet 51 - Not quite as good as Astro Boy.

Legion - Really weird movie. Not even really sure what to say about it. Lol.

Dante's Inferno (animated feature) - Pretty cool, though not the most well put-together animated flick I've seen.

Avatar - again. Still great. I swear the movie gets better every time I see it.

District 9 - again. Such an amazing movie.

      Avatar.

a good popcorn flick, but not much more imho. I would probably have been more impressed if I had seen it in the theaters instead of on my TV. But no matter how good the CGI may be, I still want a good storyline to go with it. Which is why I disliked movies like Transformers 2 and Terminator 4. Avatar felt like something a highschool studen wrote on his/her lunch break. Blue indian/thundercats people fighting space cowboys? Come on Cameron, you can do better than that..

I think I slightly prefer the book, but it's close. It's difficult to point out the differences without spoiling anything, so I won't.

Drillbit Taylor (7/10) - although the critics didn't think it was that funny, I did.

Moon (2/10) - couldn't understand a single part of it.

Painted Veil (8/10) - was good, but pretty sad. :C

How to Train your Dragon (8/10) - I don't usually like animated films, but I really liked this one.

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

No Reservations. Ok for a chick flick, and Aaron Eckhart gave a fun performance. 6.5/10

Die Hard: With a Vengeance. This was a pretty good action flick with some laughs thrown in. Samuel L. Jackson and Bruce Willis' interactions made the film for me. 7/10
