Funny. This is exactly how I felt about the movie. It wasn't good or bad. It was just weird.

I agree, I saw the twist coming a mile off.
People keep talking about how predictable the twist was, but I feel that the twist was a very small part of the whole movie. Like it was a single plot point meant to enable the rest to function.

Saw the Social Network last night. It was kind of slow but interesting.
I dream a lot, need not be asleep.

      Midnight Express, was very good.

I just recently got around to seeing Juno. Based on all the positive reviews and the recommendation of friends I was expecting a good movie. I was sorely disappointed. The movie bored me to tears and didn't seem to have any point at all.

This evening I watched Iron Man 2. It wasn't as good as the first, but only by just a bit. Overall, I liked it a lot.

There is--though I do not know how there is or why there is--a sense of infinite peace and protection in the glittering hosts of heaven. There it must be, I think, in the vast and eternal laws of matter, and not in the daily cares and sins and troubles of men, that whatever is more than animal within us must find its solace and its hope. I hope, or I could not live.

Just saw Let Me In today. I thought it was pretty good. It really made me think. However, it was disturbing.

^ I very much want to see that, disturbing is good

I just watched What Lies Beneath for the first time. Great acting by Pfieffer and Ford and great direction by Zemeckis. That bath tub scene was intense!

Okay, now that I've let my New Moon post ferment, here's what I really thought.

It was HILARIOUS. I pity anyone who thinks this was better than the first. Both were laughable anyways. The best part was the RIDICULOUS amount of Baywatch running. No, I'm not kidding; Baywatch running. They took themselves THAT seriously. If anything, this wants to make me read the books even less than before. And I really do want to give them a small shred of a chance. But so far, all they promote are the ideas that it's okay to date creepy stalkers, being emo and suicidal is okay as long as it's for the one you love, and turning into a Vampire solves all life's problems.

      Meyer NEEDS another genre.

I watched Juno a few days ago too and I loved it. I can't imagine you were paying very close attention, the movie was very interesting, extremely witty, and very well acted (Ellen Page mainly).

I know this movie is pretty old now but I just saw "A Beautiful Mind" I really liked it, although I think it would of been a bit better if they did more interaction with his hallucinations before they declared him schizo. Also seeing Russell Crowe really young was kind of funny, and he looked super weird, Oh, and Jennifer Connelly...wow...so gorgeous

Also, saw The Time Traveler's Wife. Not sure why I watched that...

Saw "The Town" two nights ago. Mild violence, and I found myself sympathizing with the bad guys. Ben Affleck did his job. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys bank-heist-type films or action films in general. Was worth the paper.

To be honest the same thing happened with Harry Potter (...which is awesome), and happens all the time for writers. And despite how poor the books were, it can't be said that it wasn't a mistake turning them down.

You should. It was actually really good IMO.

I'm really sad it's not doing better than it is, though. I want Hollywood to make more deep, thoughtful movies. Almost everything about this movie is solid. It's not everybody's cup of tea, but if you enjoy horror flicks or thought-provoking films, give Let Me In a chance.

Cyclone...best 80's film about a woman who's riding around on a high tech motor cycle with a helmet that shoots lasers. Outside of that, it's one of the worst movies I've seen.

My dad recorded Mad Max on the PVR so I watched it. I know it's like a cult movie or whatever, but I didn't find it that interesting.

"pail" and that was not as bad. But anyway.

Darkman III: die darkman die....loved it. It was a good comicbook movie, and i think i'm just really digging deformed superheroes or something.

The invention of lying: Ingenious movie. I didn't see all of it, but from what i saw....it was brilliant and disheartening at the same time. I totally wanted to see the ending, but oh well....maybe next time.

I'm not gung-ho to see this movie, but the original was great, and people are saying the American remake is actually a pretty faithful and effective translation. The original was set in a Swedish housing project, and I hear the new one is in a trailer park, which sounds like it would work.

I've seen a couple good horror films lately, one just a well-executed "diner hostages" movie, The Killing Jar, and the other based on a Clive Barker story, and pretty true to his urban-fantasy/Lovecraftian-horror sensibility, Midnight Meat Train.

I read that pre-release on i09--dingy apartment complex would be identical to the original.

Watched Get Him to the Greek--better than expected, good for some laughs, but far from great

Just watched Splice. I really enjoyed it although it wasn't what I thought it was going to be like (I figured it was going to be a Species clone). You could pretty much figure out what was going to happen the entire film but it was very entertaining anyway.

So you were thinking the entire movie, "This guy is definitely going to fuck the mutant"?
