lol, her post was 3000th in this thread, not her 3000th post.

I just watched Season of the Witch and was pleasantly surprised. I'd heard very little and mostly negative reviews, but it was solid medieval fantasy/horror. Anyone who has ever rolled a 20-sided die will probably enjoy it. Cage put in a wooden performance, but Ron Perlman was quite good in his role and everyone else was decent. The plot was standard "companions' journey" fantasy fare, but pulled off better than most films in the genre, and I found the ending satisfying and somewhat unexpected.

Saw Tombstone for the first time, what a great movie. I had no idea Val Kilmer could act so well, he was phenomenal as Doc Holiday.

      Ill be your huckleberry.

Saw Sucker Punch the other night, it was alright, too much slow motion action scenes for my taste though.

Last movie I was was Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, with Johnny Depp. Did not like it at all. It had almost nothing to do with the books by Lewis Caroll.

That movie was based off of the sequel "Through the Looking Glass" not the original Alice in Wonderland

I saw "The Lincoln Lawyer" and it was the worst movie ever other that "The Last Airbender"
But i also saw "The Adjustment Bureau" and it was fantastic! Everything from the cinematography to the acting composting, it was great. Go see it

It's a rare film that produces a rich, loamy soil.

I saw Paul, and it was worth some laughs, but not the best work of anyone involved.

Casino Royal. "Best Bond ever" are bold words that I still disagree with. Don't get me wrong, Daniel Crag is a good modern day bond. But I don't think there's such a thing as the best. Anyways....it took me two days to watch the movie. I fell asleep on it the first night I tried watching it. Don't get me wrong....it's not bad....but I think they over hyped it. Just because this one is more visceral doesn't make a better than the others.

      Naughty Nurses Nine.

It was good, but I thought the ending was predictable.

Watched Traffic again last night, great ensemble movie.

I also got around to seeing Terminator: Salvation. It was alright, nothing special. The best part was Arnold's cameo and the helicopter crash in the beginning.

Dagon, based on the Lovecraft story of the same name. The acting was B-caliber, but the production values were good and overall it was a good body-horror creepout.

Takashi Miike? I've been meaning to rent some of his movies, I heard they were sick and disgusting.

      Limitless, generically enough.

Plot was okay if predictable, but the visual effects! They were wonderful. The usage of the generic orange/teal accentuation to represent on NZT/not on NZT, the falling of numbers and the flipping of ceiling like bulletin boards to represent thought processes; and a particular overzoom effect in a number of sequences. Pictures were superimposed in the centre of other pictures, and they would zoom in on these into other pictures, and you'd be going at an uncontrollable pace through the scenery.

thats him and ya some of them are pretty raunchy. Ichi the killer and Sukiyaki Western Django are both really good if you like weird, decadent Japanese movies.

Sucker Punch. Seriously 5 out of 5. The cinematography was through the roof....let alone the special effects. The storyline was pretty original compared to anything I've seen. To sum it up, the movie was like, the matrix meets wizard of oz meets terminator meets kill bill. I don't know why it got bad reviews. Don't get me wrong....the movie is pretty crazy. Crazy like how I wanted black swan to be, but still, it was amazing. I got goosebumps during 20 scenes, and one scene was just so well crafted, I nearly shed a tear. The movie was that epic.

And it's even better, the second and third time around.

How did you like that train assault sequence with the robots?? Haha.

Allegedly, there will be a lot more storyline, in the Director's Cut, that we didn't get to see.
