Just got back from TLJ. Have mixed feelings about it. Most people I talked to were either gushing over how great it was or throwing a hissy fit over inconsistencies in the lore or whathaveyou. There are some plotholes and logical inconsistencies, but never any more weirdness you get out of any other mainline star wars movie. There are a few moments that are really, really, cool, and a few WTAF moments.

Without spoiling anything; all of the stuff with Rey and Luke is really quite boring. If you're going to see this and feel the need to pee during the movie, wait till it cuts to a Rey and Luke scene.

I know I usually give a rating, but I have so many mixed feelings about all this.

I went to see Thor: Ragnarok with my sister on Christmas eve. It was very entertaining. I was never bored and it was pretty funny.

Great music and musicals. Strongly emotional and good characters. A very well realized movie with a good concept and plot. Recommend seeing it.

      The Shape of Water 6/10
I don't get what all the fuzz is about. I get the movie is kinda new in a sense with the fishman - woman relationship, but it still felt kind of awkward to watch the movie with other people because of all the intimate scenes. To me the movie tried too hard with little success. Unique concept, poor realization.

      Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Just watched it last night and it was amazeballs. Way better than Force Awakens.
Fantastic use of humour. And I was gripped the whole time.

I didn't realize until the end, that I had already watched it. I kept seeing scenes I recognized and I'm like "Wtf trailer would put this scene in?".
Got to the end and I'm like "Oh, I've seen it before".

The best thing about having a shit memory is the ability to watch something for the first time, multiple times.

I thought the shape of water was cool..then again I've like almost everything michael shannon was in..interesting though, the director claims lucid dreams have influenced his movies/ideas (pans labyrinth) ..think it's on wikipedia

Watched The Matrix for the first time. Really intriguing, and I noticed a lot of details that probably came from lucid dreaming ideas.

“Lucid Dreams” it’s from 2017 I think, and found it a bit misleading of the subject of what LD really are. They try to introduce dream sharing although the film goes mainly around another topic. Not what I was expecting for, say more dreams less ‘reality’.

I watched some of that, If I'm thinking of the same one. But I don't like watching foreign movies that much, mostly because I don't like having to read sub titles or seeing dubbed over where the voices don't match the lip movements.

Last night I watched a movie that made me feel very old and strange for the first time. It was kind of a surreal feeling. Like I was in two time periods at once. I'm not sure Nostalgic is the right word exactly, though it did have a nostalgia to it for me. In a way it was kind of depressing. Watching it, I felt a strange way that I never felt before.

The movie is called "Better Off Dead." Came out in 1985, Jeez. I didn't even realize it was that long ago. I was thinking it was probably 90's. I considered it one of my most memorable romantic comedies of all time.

"I want my two dollars!" Ha!. I found it on Youtube.

      Can be watched right here.

It was pretty good. It felt like a conclusion to the franchise.

      The Never Ending Story
Incredibly nostalgic, though in watching the first one I realized I grew up watching the second one on repeat

I saw "The Wishing Dragon". I enjoyed it. I probably can't give a review yet though. It's a new release on Netflix.

I watched "Doctor Sleep" last night, after finishing the book. The book was good. The movie was good until about halfway through. At that point they massively changed the plot from the book... killing characters for shock factor, more violence, more death, etc. I preferred the book's more realistic and better story. Ughhh.. oh well.

Not a movie, but, I have been watching The Wheel of Time on Amazon Prime. I've read the books up to book 9 (currently reading). They are such a big influence on me, I started them in my early twenties and have read most of them 3x already. I love them dearly (until it drags in the middle of the series). This fantasy has captivated me for years. I always dreamed that I would be an Aes Sedai (brown or yellow).. It's just the coolest world.

Anyway, the series is awesome so far!!

Spider-man: No Way Home. 5/5 Honestly one of the best super hero movies I’ve seen in a while. Just when I was getting burnt out on the genre.

I saw this too, in the theaters, a while back. It was good, but it wasn't as good as I expected it to be. I had an issue with the premise in general. Without revealing too many spoilers, I think Dr. Strange acted out of character early in the movie (the hook). It was not how a thinking adult would act, if you ask me. The rest was good. I really hate it when movies break that immersion element for me.

I liked this film a lot. This was a strange film. There is no story, it's just a bunch of moments. Its pure art house. I wish more films would abandon story like this film does. In mainstream movies, it's all about story and action. Film can be so much more than that. A film doesn't need a story. Even most art house films that I've seen have some sort of story. Although not as much or in the same way as mainstream films tend to. But this film does not have a story at all. It's just a bunch of moments. I love it. Very strange film. Pure art house. I love the weirdness.

I went and saw Jurassic World in 3D last night with two of my buddies. I thought it was pretty good. It's not to be watched for its storytelling or scientific accuracy. It's just fun action and visuals, and it gets an A for that stuff. The ending was totally stupid
      Spoiler for Ending spoiler:
But it was cool, I liked it. Some of my friends weren't too big on it, though.
