      Inglourious Basterds

Quentin Fucking Tarantino does it again.

Holy shit, for 2 hours and 32 minutes, I was never bored.

Basically, Inglourious Basterds (spelling mistakes are intentional) is a story about the attempt to take down as many nazi's as possible, by a group of 9 guys with the self given name "Inglourious Basterds".

While the entire 2 hour and 32 minute film doesn't revolve around the murdering and torturing exploits of Brad Pitt and his nazi killing crew, the story never leaves you bored. There was honestly a scene that was about 35 minutes long, and it was just four or five people talking in a bar. And although I did notice "hey, this scene has been going on for about a half an hour", I wasn't bored with it.

Word of warning, with all of Tarantino's movies, don't go see it if you're squeamish. Lot of graphic imagery. And in comparison to movies like Hostel and SAW, the violence is very realistic, and believable.

But if you're not squeamish, and love seeing a nazi get what's comin, definitely go see it. I give it a fucking 9/10. Great story, great action. Tarantino is a brilliant director, and superb acting job of Brad Pitt and the rest of the Basterds (namely Eli Roth and BJ Novak). And the actor's name is evading me right now, but the actor who plays the SS Officer with the nickname "The Jew Hunter" does an amazing job.

      Go see it.

"As you can see, we're not in the prisoner takin' business. We're in the killin' natzi's business. And cousin, business is a-boomin."

That scene is fucking hardcore. Go Eli Roth.
You do this every fucking time.
      No sweat.
      No tears.
      No guilt.
You do this every fucking time.

You know, there wasn't actually even all that much violence in the movie. In fact, the action is secondary.

I enjoyed this film more than many others I've seen lately. It proves that a movie can be chock-full of dialogue yet still keep you interested and compelled.

The one part that I really hated I felt as if was an appeal to our caveman desire to kill those we intensely hate.

      Which was:
Spoiler for Part that pissed me off.:
Surrender your flesh. We demand it.

Yeah, honestly, I was bored throughout a good portion of this movie. I enjoyed the opening scene, the bar scene, and the scene in the cinema near the end. The rest of the movie didn't really captivate me, and I spent time trying to find a theme to the movie, but all I could get out of it was "Nazi's are bad."

Some scenes were amazing, and I found the opening scene and the bar scene really unique because they kept me on the edge of my seat throughout like the whole scene, and it's not often a movie can do that. However, the rest of the scenes I felt didn't really offer a whole lot, and I kind of just wanted them to either get to some action, or to some plot development that actually mattered. It seemed the plot developed too slowly, I already knew what was going to happen, I just wanted it to happen, but it took too long before it actually did. I probably would have enjoyed it more if they had left out a good 30-45 minutes of it....

Anyways, overall, I thought it was decent, the scenes it did do good were amazing, but I found that overall I just didn't enjoy it that much, and I probably wouldn't want to watch it a second time.

Edit: Oh, and I forgot to mention, I'm in agreement about The Jew Hunter, he did amazingly. Wonderful job playing his part, really well done, he really stole the show for me and outshone the other actors.

I thought the movie was good. But thats about it. I don't see how people would say its his best. I was lightly entertained throughout the whole movie, but not much more.

Best movie I have ever seen, not even kidding. I already wanna see it again. There were so many things that I didn't see coming, so many hilarious parts, and great action and gore (if you like that kind of thing). Brad Pitt was great in the movie, playing the part perfectly, and as others have said even during long conversations there was always something that kept you very intrigued.
