      Review: Paranormal Activity

Wasn't quite what I had expected. Probably because I haven't seen many of the commercials. I was thinking "just another horror film".

Today I went to go see it and I thought it was another commercial when the film started until I noticed how long it was then I was like "ok".

The whole film was like it was a home movie, which I enjoyed because it made it feel more real. A soon to be married couple living in san diego () buys a really expensive video camera because they have become aware of some strange phenomenon going on inside their house. I have to admit, I had my doubts because there wasn't too much going on in their house.

As the movie progressed however, it did start getting more and more suspensful because the couple realized that they were dealing with more than just "ghosts".

The last 10mins... CREEEEEEEEEEEEEPY!!!! That's all I have to say about the ending. I'm actually kind of concerned I might have a nightmare tonight thanks to this movie.

If I were to pick a favorate scary movie, I'd probably have to be Paranormal Activity behind 1408 (which wasn't actually scary, just a cool movie).

Just a warning, no one in the theatre knew when the movie was over. There was no credits. So if you just see every thing go black, that means you can leave now. And if it is feeling too slow for you, don't walk out, the ending was priceless.

Overall I give it a "B+" just because the beginning was a bit slow. Good movie.

I just got finished watching this movie and ABSOLUTELY loved it.

I like the whole plot in general, but the part that REALLY bothered me the most, and looked fake ass hell, was when he showed her the video of "Dianne" from the 60's. It was just too..... fake.

Plus, why would you show someone you love that anyways? That part didn't make much since. The rest of it though was absolutely great.

By far my favorite horror movie in the past few years, and I love horror movies .

Just finished it, it was not bad but not really scary. Could you imagine if she suffered this alone? she kinda did, her boyfriend is a moron. Once he challenged it, things went from small banging to crazy, then the board made things 10x's worse. When the evil dude grabbed her and tried to bring her to a room, i was saying KICK IT'S ASS to the boyfriend against the ghost.

BTW what an ending...haha, that was not something you would expect. Just imagine what they will see with that tape, and what they will think.

I give this movie an A++++++++. Granted, the atmosphere in the theater had a lot to do with it. I saw it in Korea, surrounded by very sissy Korean girls who jumped and screamed at every little thing...

At one point, the audience was silent with suspense and someone a few rows down broke down and started laughing from nervousness, and then everyone cracked up at completely the wrong moment... MAN, I love big theater crowds!!

This movie is by far the scariest I have EVER seen, and it only took $15,000 to make, and something like a total of 4 unknown actors.

But guys... if you haven't seen the movie and are planning to, DON'T WATCH ANY PREVIEWS. They completely ruin some of the most amazing scenes!

meh, I enjoyed the suspense and atmosphere of the movie, and they deffinately got the "haunting effects" and sounds right. My only problem was the slow moving progress of the movie, even though it was an intentional effect as part of the atmosphere and reality, coupled with the fact that the supposly scary scenes where something REALLY happen was just too far apart, so I really really missed some more action which I think the movie could benefit a lot from (As mentioned already the first nights were just very dull and even then far apart, and when some interesting stuff actually started to happen you figure out it's pretty much the end of the movie).

So while I enjoyed it, I really did need some more action. But the plot and way the movie was done was interesting and worked well
