      Non-Biased News

Do you guys know where to get non-biased news? Any sort of news would be great.. I definitely need a place to get political news. Preferably over internet.

      Thanks.

      This.

BBC is an excellent source of news.

No one is entirely unbiased, but BBC comes close I think.

Yep, I use BBC. It is just a tad limited, though.

Psh, hardly. They cover all the major stories.

I would go BBC as basis, then branch out.

Best way to treat news is with multiple material. While I'm not so interested that I keep it up today, when I was I read as many newspapers as possible around the same stories. It means the bias for one direction is tempered by bias in another direction.

That said, Guardian will always have a special place for my liberal, middle-class values.

      100% this!

And check out the sources that are mentioned.

      Edit:
And make sure you are aware that there are no non-biased news.

Other than that, maybe I'd also suggest the New York Times,
the Financial Times and the Washington Post? And on the side
      I'd read something like alternet.org.

But it always depends, too - sometimes an unlikely newspaper
will write a surprisingly good article, sometimes a reputable one
completely buys into a scam. So always be critical of anything.

Being properly informed is somewhat of a fulltime job.

There's probably an NPR station around you, if you don't mind listening to the radio it's a great way to keep up-to-date with what's going on in the world.

Unrelated to their news, but here's something to consider:

In that segment, they blatantly lied that Mordeth was "an illegal street racer" just to spice things up.

If you watch Keith Olbermann and then watch Sean Hannity, you will get the point. Somewhere between them, the truth lies.

Oh, and if you not only want to stay up to date on what is happening, but
also on why that is happening - so for background infos and a bigger picture,
I really recommend going to the websites of prestigous universities and
      checking out the lectures.

So if you would like to learn more about, say, Gaza, visit MIT World and
check out some of the lectures by the profs. You will have much less of a
bias and are often presented with a different picture than the various news
stations are painting. And it's usually backed by good facts and sources.

This is a good way to really inform yourself, imo. On many different subjects.

I use the BBC, and The Independent.

Although the Independent is a better paper than website. The website's a nightmare.

I like the Independent because although generally center left it has opinions from varied people, from both sides of the spectrum.

I like the BBC because unless it's an opinion piece it's always very very unbiased.

No such thing. Especially on the internet.

I like BBC a lot, but still catch their bias. CNN is extremely biased. Even though I listen to NPR a lot, you can still sense bias from them. It's just human nature.

Fox is the least biased, but to be honest, all TVnewsnetworks are as Biased and Corrupt as it gets. Fox is just the lesser evil. As for online news... I <3 http://drudgereport.com/ . It has somewhat of a conservative bias, but it will link you to CNN AND Fox.
And now.. for a Stephen Strutmeyer Film...

Fox definitely has a conservative bias, but aside from its commentary (as opposed to report) shows (O'Reilly, Beck, Hannity, etc.), I think it is less biased than CNN and MSNBC. The most biased news network on television is MSNBC, hands down.

Overall, I prefer several sources with blatant, but varying bias. Most of my political news comes by way of gawker.com, mainly because it's the most entertaining From there, if I want to know more, I'll just follow their sources and/or work google.

Hey, how about Jon Stewart? He's a serious news reporter who isn't biased.
