Definitely one of my favorite Final Fantasies! I bought it used off a friend for $20. Just finished chapter 9, and its really amazing =). Snow and Sazh are becoming my favorite FF character :)

How is the storyline? The only thing that really bothered me about 12 was that
the story and charackterdevelopment was too shallow, compared to some prequels.
I'd play it anyway, though.
Edit: Does it have a worldmap that you can freely move on? I see that they have
changed the battle-system back. The videos on youtube look awweeessomme. :)
^That's weird, considering every review I've seen of this game claims the game is even more linear than FFX. How is it possible to be able to roam freely over the world map AND be more linear than FFX? It just doesn't seem possible.
I haven't heard very much about it at all.
It would be a very good move to go back to the worldmap.
How a worldmap could make the game even more linear than X, I don't know.
How they could make a game more linear then X in any way, I don't either.
Even though I really liked FFX, and there was still a lot you could do, there
wasn't much exploring or room to, off of the storyline. Every playthrough is
essentially the same.
I'm desperately trying to get that "good feeling" you get when yo play when you were a kid because I want to like playing games. But I just don't seem to enjoy games as much as I use too. I bought this game to once again find that "good feeling" but I haven't played it too much. I just jumped off the bridge...hopefully I find it fun.
Yeah, it's different to play a game when you're a kid.
Funny thing is that it does not seem to make a difference how good the
graphics are or how realistic it is. At least that's my experience. (It's still
different from playing games at a younger age - with relatively bad
graphics, games were still as captivating, or moreso than now)
But a good role-playing game can still push my buttons. Next one up is
probably Final Fantasy V (or II) on SNES. Haven't played that one yet. :D
Final Fantasy Versus XIII ....it's a game thats separate from Fantasy XIII.

^Oh shit, my bad. Well then, FFXIII Versus sounds like it'll be much more worthy of my $60 than the game it shares its name with.
The game is pretty linear, but it's still great. People say that it opens up after 25ish hours, but nothing really happens. It's still linear, you can just sorta choose your line after that.
Hey I just want to say, that FFXIII is actually pretty fun! I kinda feel overwhelmed a bit with the battle system and the paradigms at times. I love the whole story so far though.
Haven't had that much time to play it. I've played a little and I love it.
All FF games are just amazing :3
