Anyone else stoked for the release (white on the left, black on the right)?
In my opinion, the legendary pokemon this time around look pretty cool.
I like the one from white the best.

I love this! I can't wait for the game/new battle/world systems. I also love how they reversed the colors of the legendaries for their respective versions.
I like how they reversed the colors too, it looks really sharp. :content:
Man, I want to get a DS. I assume this game will have online play?
Would be sweet to battle some friends :3
Oh shoot. Now I gota finish soal silver befor this comes out. Will it be in black and white like the old game boy games? :cheeky: jk
The online battling is the only form of communication worth using, except for maybe trading.
I don't personally use any of the online services, since DS WiFi requires a less-than-secure connection to work, and I don't play often enough to warrant traveling to a hotspot. I was just sayin' what I noez. Considering that most people want Jirachi for Bidoof on the trading system, that's probably not too great either.
I don't mean GTS. I mean trading with someone you've spoken to and have an arrangement with. GTS sucks.
I would buy this if I could actually call out attacks and dodging and shit, instead of selecting attacks and pretty much leaving it up to chance whether I got hit or not.
Meh I don't know... The pokemon keep getting worse. At this point they look, really, really, REALLY, Stupid. The covers of Black and White look like a mix of the old and new style. (Old style as in 1 and 2, new style as in 3 and 4)
I just wish they would keep every single Pokemon into one game. Instead of keeping a small handful of Pokemon from the old generations with the newer games.
Slayer, I don't exactly agree. I myself really enjoy Pokemon games, and I think that if it was always the same Pokemon, it would get quite boring. If you think about it, all the story plots are the same. Some dude is getting fucked by some enemy leader, and you have to thwart their plot. Then you have to get badges and beat the elite four. After that, maybe there is some kind of mini-game you unlock, but that isn't much.
In my opinion I don't find much variation in Pokemon games, but the interactive poke-walker, was a big leap in gaming technology. I would like Nintendo to release more interactive things of that nature, and then games will be fun as hell. If this Pokemon black and white versions, don't have anything interactive to go along with them such as the poke-walker, I don't think its worth getting. Yes, there may be some new legendaries, but if there are a whole new set of Pokemon, then everything changes.
But that's, my opinion. You guys do what you want ;)

Sure, some of the 5 gen. that have been leaked look like fan art, but of course, what's been leaked is only a handful of them, so I'll have to wait and see what the rest have to offer. Personally, I'm just overjoyed that there's FINALLY a zebra! :panic:
I find myself getting impatient. I want these to be out now. The main city (and possibly some others) being 3D? Constantly moving battle sprites? The battle camera becoming a dynamic one when attacks are made?
Epic.
Quite honestly, those are things that when it comes to Pokemon are mostly reserved for the big console versions. Finally the hand-held console versions are getting some love.
I remember back when not even gold and silver were out yet there was rumor of a black version that had like 400 pokemon in it. Of course, that never came to be. Crazy how old rumors can become reality.
Wait, so how many new pokemon are showing up this time?
Not sure yet, but counting the Legis, the starters, Zorua, and Zoroark, there are 14 known new ones right now. Serebii.net has a constant eye on CoroCoro magazine, so by the time the games come out, I'm expecting to see at least over 30 of them.
I could possibly pick this game up. My cousins both own their own Nintendo DS. All I would have to do is buy the game and borrow one of their DS's. They don't play them much anyway.
The starters look horrible

The only one that looks odd to me is Mijumaru. But it's growing on me. Pokabu is the cutest, and Tsutaja just looks cool. I really want to see its evolutions.
I agree, Mijumaru does look a bit different. I'm probably going to get Pokabu, just because I want a fire pig pokemon. :P
I just saw all the new Pokemon, and my first response was O MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD. Pokemon is starting to go back to its roots in their Pokemon designs. Some are still badly-designed(Zebra-Looking One) but the majority reminds me of the 1st generation. I especially like the gear one.
I'll probably pick the fire pig.
I wonder if people will sell their pokemon online on forums and such.
Ooo, a better 3D design :)
The whole battle system looks pretty neat too, and you can see your whole Pokemon in the back-sprite. Other than that, it's nothing new, and therefore probably very over hyped. I was hoping 5th gen. Would get a complete overhaul and a new storyline, but it doesn't look like it.
